Who all will be camping out on Friday night with thier rig? I had thought about driving over with one of my deuces and would have to camp overnight. But I am just curious how many others might do the same and dont want to duplicate bringing too many things nor do I want to be all alone.

I know I will be camping out!

What Frequencies for Talk in / Convoy link up?

Hey all, i wanted to know if there were standard frequencies we use for talk in or link up..

CB Channel: ?
FRS Channel: ?
GMRS Freq: ?
6 Meter (military rig): 51.00, 51.60 ??
Ham 2M (Simplex): 146.520 ??
Ham 2m (Repeater): ?

Im trying to get everything arranged to go this time, i'm gonna tow the truck in its "current" state, i'd love to hear advice. It should look "great" next to all the clean and nice trucks you have.. heck, you might want mine there to make yours look better...

Is there a good place to park a full RV? (without risking getting stuck?) not worried about hookups so much..

Well, I WOULD be there Friday, but it seems my new baby (M109) has other plans.

I just finished the 20 hour trip from the Iowa border to Kennesaw on Friday. And now I have a massive puddle of break fluid at the left front tire. At least it was parked, filling the air tanks when it let go.



I may attend anyway, but on foot, since it's in my home town.

A talk in frequency sounds like a good idea. My ARRL repeater guide lists two repeaters in Marietta, 146.775 and 145.490. I don't know which one is best, maybe someone local would know. I'll be coming through the Anniston area on I20 about 0800-0830 on Friday. I'll monitor 146.520.

There is a parking lot (paved) area where you can set up your RV. There really isn't any sort of commo stuff going on generally at these rallies, but for convoying to/from the rally you guys certainly can do as you will.

Anyone bringing anything interesting to sell? I need a cargo cover for my deuce and always looking for something interesting to pick up. As stated previously if there is any interest I may bring a set of bows and troop seats for a deuce to sell. I have enough bows I believe for a 5 ton.

I was looking at google maps, satellite view.. im a bit concerned about bringing a motor home, especially if im towing the truck... you guys think this will be ok? Ive never been there before... I hate to take up too much space... im planning on getting there afternoon friday...

Id love to just bring the truck, but barely just got it running and it has no brakes... might be a bit exciting on I20 without them..
