As I posted in a previous thread, I don't have a hamshack yet, but working on getting gear slowly together that will enable me to set up one in the future, at a different house. This place is nice, but really isn't set up to have a separate room for comm ops. But, I don't pass up getting a rig that I will hope to put on the air in the future.

Let's all see your radios that you have for your vehicles, hamshack, collection, whatever. Only military rigs, Army, Navy, etc.

Haven't really tested it out other than receiving tv audio before it went digital. I put it together from a de-milled set and I know nothing about radios. But it was missing a tube and a wire I had to re-solder.

Technically, no - the VIC-1 is an intercom system, not radio equipment. It's like closed circuit TV - you can use it within your place, but you can't pick up anyone else. But you get an A for trying.

jwaller - nice setup! Looks like a pair of SINCGARS radios, a pair of dummy KY-57 encryption devices and a R-442 VHF receiver. Pretty schweet!

yup, you guessed it. I also have the 2 power adapters for the ky57's, those 2 little guys took longer to find than all the rest of it. It also has the power amp for the #1 sincgars but I don't think it fit in the pic frame.

Pic 1 is the RT-524/R-442 setup for the V100. I haven't installed it yet, so I 'borrowed' a picture of the one at Ft Snelling, I'll replace the pic later when mine is in. It is attached to a 4-position VIC-1.

The other radios are Clansman gear I have, namely PRC-349, -350, -351 and -352. The PRC-352 is just a -351 with a 20w amplifier attached to it. In that configuration, it cannot be run off the radio's own whip, it has to be attached to a larger ground spike antenna or one in a vehicle.
The Clansman radios are good quality, and cheap to buy. They are fully compatible with US radios (specifically designed to be so).
Again, I borrowed the -349 and -350 pictures, since I haven't taken any of my own.

The 351/352 can be run off a 24v vehicle through the DCCU, you can see it on the floor in the M1009. It is hooked to the vehicle antenna.
I am currently putting together a semi-permanent vehicle mount adapted from the Brit parts to fit in the M1009. Until then, it works fine seat-belted in!
Last pics show the M1009 as it was displayed at the local Boy Scout jamboree. In the back are Pawnshop's -351, with my -350 just visible to the right of it by the spare tire.
Note the clever wrap-around of the camo net to cover the orange ice chest..

Lots of radios in the garage but the only one I have mounted is a single mount Sincgars 1439 in the HMMWV. One of these days I'll photograph the entire collection.

How about Army Aircorp ? I have an old radio, unmodified BC-348 r (they were used in B-17 bombers, B-24-etc, and on ground). Its a receiver only, its about 40 lbs, and has a dyna motor (built in motor/generator) to boost the 28 vdc up to 200 volts to run the tubes. I takes a few seconds to warm up, but its funny to hear the motor spin up to run. I dont use it with my deuce since it is so bulky and is only a receiver. My camera wont synce to my computer, so I borrowed this pic.....
