I am not trying to troll this topic but only state the facts.
1. Gm knew there was an issue. In the manuals you will see that the ring gaps in cylinders 7-8 are larger to compensate for the overheating of the rear of the block.
2. Gm tried to fix this issue with their newer improved heads. But...
Sorry. My voice text wrote without it twice… LOL!
My personal testing on the motor stand with a running 6.2 and 6.5 shows the back of the motor gets hotter then the front of the motor without the PBD kit. Since the temperature sensor is located more in the front, it is not reading the true...
The scenario that you are talking about could happen to any motor of any make. Running heads dry of coolant would for sure crack the heads or cause serious damage of almost any motor. Lol.
The PBD kit is simple to understand. It balances the heads coolant temperatures. Without it, say your...
Don’t sweat it. Everyone has a right to their own opinion regardless if the facts are wrong. Your kit works well and everyone that has it installed, has told me it works well. My personal testing proves that. The motors history of cracked heads proves the problem is there. There are several...
New Year’s Day a group of 14 of us went to the top of Flathead pass during a snow storm. 1/2 of us got stuck. We all creeped, winched, dug and pulled each other to the top. A few close calls with roll overs or sliding off the mountain and had only one Jeep break down. After the trail ride was...
It looks like you have the 90 degree elbow on in the wrong position. It should be pointing up and the hoses run over the plenum.

No it is a coolant crossover from a 93 GMC 1ton I parted out. Pictured is a hummer coolant crossover.
I used a laser thermometer gun while the motors were running on an engine stand. Temperatures averaged 10-20 degrees hotter in the rear of the heads or around cylinders 7-8. That is why the...
My personal testing on running 6.2 and 6.5 motors on an engine stand shows that they all get hot in the rear of the motor. I recently installed the PBD kit on a customers motor and can confirm that the kit does balance the temperatures better on the motor. I would say this kit is now a MUST HAVE...
So far these 40” Patagonia tires are great! The method rims and Patagonia tires balance very well! I feel comfortable going 80mph. But since they are a true to size 40” tire, even after doing some cutting on the wheel wells, they still rub with light flexing on light trails.
This next summer I...
Yes sir! I am saving up for axle gears currently. Those bigger 40” tires really changed things gearing wise By making the 6.5 feel like it does not have enough power. I think some 5.13 or 5.38 gears will fix that.
