CUCV Dash lights

I plan on replacing the 14 Instrument Panel Lamp Sockets (GM Part# 2973932). My question is why one of the generator socket (GEN1) is a different color? I have two instrument clusters and they are both the same. The TM only lists that they are all the same. Pages 120-121 TM 9-2320-289-34P.

That is a good question. I will have to go look at my stash when it warms up a bit.

Practicality wise I don’t remember any notation in the TM and there is no difference that I can think of in function. Just clean them all, put in the bulbs and test before you install in the truck.
