Hey guys been lookin at a M1028a3 and got to noticing the ID tag on the door.
It's saying its a M1008? But it's a dually.. I'm sensing a converted M1008.. Or either the door has been changed. Also it just had a 208 transfer I would think a true M1028A3 would have the 205 t-case.

So I browsed around a bit and there is quite a few guys going with the HMMWV wheels. Think I'm gonna do 2-2 1/2 inch spacers. Would billet aluminum be alright or would they be more prone to become loose more than the steel ones?
Are the dually hubs difficult to find for the front?

Why do people seem more favorable of running dually hubs in the front and spacers in the rear? Is spacers all way around not a good idea? Or do I not need spacers in the rear?

Hey guys how's it goin? I'm lookin to put some h1 wheels and some 37inch baja commercial ta's on my M1008 but I've heard some things that's got me concerened. I've heard spacers,some kind of adapters,or recentering the wheels is necessary to get them to fit? I definitely don't want to recenter...
Thanks a lot guys for the help,I disconnected the slave cable from the grid box where it was running to. I just hate to stick a new alternator on there and not be for sure and it blow the new one again..
Oh ok thanks a lot. It was suppose to have been rebuilt as a 12v alternator. I've got access to some original cucv manuals so I'll go through and check it out. The slave cable is kinda like a big cable ran from the junction box through a small hole in the bad with a plug-hookup looking end on it...
