https://youtu.be/fg7I6v8FVdg Here's a video of a test run around the block. I have to get a new throttle return spring and glue a washer/ cover that clanks on my dual voltage alternator.
Bell housing bolts not fly wheel bolts. Those bolts are brand new from were that LDS was rebuilt. The bellhousing I used a longer bolt to help line up on bottom.I am sorry for the confusion just been running ragged working on my truck.
Ok she's up and running need to adjust new brakes and bleed them spongy.I also wanted to note 5th was kind of stiff going in.Its probably because of sleeve pin and needing broke in I think.
Ok I had a bolt too long holding the flywheel from bellhousing my fault wow works great now lol.Thank you doghead so much for all your help and others as well now on to finding that sleeve and pin for transmission.
I tried to bar engine over I can't get a grip anywhere to turn it over the transmission spins freely in gear with clutch disengaged.I tried every which way and can't get it to turn.
Take the batteries charge them up then take them and have them tested its free. Then after that clean all battery and wire connections.(What Doghead said below he knows more than I do.)You also may have voltage bleed off somewhere.
Yes I did Doghead the clutch goes in and out as it should and did spin in or out of gear not installed I will check everything tomorrow your saying to check to make sure something is not binding.
I don't think I have a socket big enough to bar engine over.I tried to start yesterday morning it tried to turn over but then it just did the clunk.I have the injectors off no hydro lock.I shut the truck down in the garage and now The starter won't spin unless jumped.I can probably get a starter...
I got the solenoid off I am not certain if I should replace it or buy a Delco or Unistar Starter. The solenoid seems to be hard to find and can be pricey.I'm just looking at all options.
Ok guys I was reading the diagram for the starter Its a prestolite. Does the solenoid under the orange rubber boot unscrew or does it have a set pin and you still have to unscrew it?
OK took the starter loose thought maybe it was hung up it did spin but not engage when jumped and when I took it loose then retighten after wiggling no go.So it clicks but doesn't engage starter but starter does spin when jumped.
