I probably should have said that it did go in to overload protection but kept running because of battle short mode. Is one of the components note likely to fail or should I just start testing everything per tm?
Thx
Hello everyone,
So the gauge behaved differently this time. It read up to 80 percent. It still doesn't return to zero when powered down but its definitely better. Using battle short I was able to get through the spot where it goes in to overload protection. I didn't watch the gauge 100...
I will clean s8 when I get there.
I would have to run it in battle short to use a clamp on meter. By the time I turn on the dryer I can't get to the generator fast enough to test before it faults. Is it generally considered ok to use battle short during test procedures?
Happy 4th everyone! Not sure if I should start a new thread or all another question in this one so here goes.
My mep803a is set up in an of grid desert property where we spend weekends.
It is now running through a 6k inverter with built in transfer switch.
Since I have owned the unit...
Good morning,
In reading of forums and tsms I see at least a couple of suggested fuse retrofits. For example my 803a suddenly stopped outputting voltage over the weekend so I jumped on the forums and found a bulletin about adding a fuse to the voltage rectifier.
Are there other retrofits that...
Sorry it took so long to thank you guys but I finally have the unit working properly. Turns out it was the adjustment of the fuel cutoff solenoid. Thanks again!
Yes I did. I actually noticed the old one was working when I first got there and the unit was cold. I decided to switch the new one in anyway. The next morning when I turned it off it was back to its same old Behavior. So I let it cool off and then it's cycled like normal.
I checked the linkage and the travel of the cylinder on Sunday and everything seems good. The problem seems to be that when the machine is called the solenoid operates fine I followed the procedure and it tested without any trouble. Several hours later after running for awhile the solenoids...
I finally made it back out to the property this weekend and went through all of the tips you guys provided.
I have only run the unit a handful of times but I realized the shutoff solenoid want clunking like it had been when I first set it up. I ordered a new solenoid and will install this...
Thank you.
I will measure the throw this weekend and try it manually. It runs very well although I haven't tried to put a large draw on it. I'm using it for power at a desert property and haven't needed the ac in my trailer, which will be my biggest consumer, since I took it down there. I...
Thank you guys again. I was finally able to get out to the generator yesterday but my phone wouldn't load the manual.
I will print the directions next time. The travel of the solenoid seems good but I will measure. The unit ran prefect again but still taking at least 2 minutes to power off.
Thank you guys for your assistance! I will check it ASAP and respond. This was my first forum post I guess o should have read the directions. Sorry! Thank you for your patience.
Whoops! Pushed enter accidentally.
Anyway the unit starts and runs fine, outputs power as it should, but when I turn the switch to off it takes 1-2 minutes to power down.
The first time it happened I thought the switch was bad so I used the emergency button and it was slow too.
Is this...
