The fuel guage on my m1028 is not working. I was wondering what should i start with to fix it. It is not working after warming up it has plenty of fuel, it used to be stuck on 1/4 tank but i guess it finally gave up. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

The guy will let me pull a motor and transmission from another m1008 that he has. sorry for the confusion. He just doesnt know alot about the motor in the truck i want.
Ive been lookin at one down the road pretty hard i have to do alot of the work on it my self its 1800 but i have to change motors and transmissions from another truck in it. is that a good deal for these old trucks?
I am a high school student and i recently got intrested in the mv hobby i was wondering if the m1008 is a good idea for a high school student? im not scared to work on these trucks. Ive worked on tractors and trucks all my life. Just wondering what the pros and cons were to these trucks.
