I've been going through the tm's have DL many but still unsuccessful at finding a resolution to my issue.
I have a m936 wrecker and the other day I started as usual no issues , was sitting warming up as I always do. It was idling for about 15 min and the truck shut itself off.
Weird I...
As stated in original post 1969 m35a2 white multifuel , 11.00 Michelin x singles on all factory wheels. Universal joints seem good no Play that I can find just greased them today. I have a few pry bars will try that route see what moves around.
Diddnt just "dump" the clutch , I'm pretty careful to not shock load the drive line after having to replace the torque rods out back (dogbones) but let out rather quickly.
I have crawled under and looked for anything loose or broken don't see anything. The other day I was in low range as usual (just creeping around the woods on ranch) anyway I went to back up and let out on clutch a bit quick , and heard a thump on floor board area like you whacked it with a large...
Ok so been a while , update on the rig. I have swapped out tanks from a 5 ton crane truck. Plumbed it all in using a external pump with 5 to 7 psi. Got all primed new filters new lines and a spin on style fuel filter seperator type.
Fresh batteries all new cables and ends. Been bust lol...

Would the m61 be a good start for a working rig? Going to mainly live its life off road and probably in low range, hauling trailers and equipment sometimes , well drilling equipment etc. Don't plan on having it on a road just yet.
Not familiar with these series trucks is why I'm asking...
Well heck..... damn if I could see that lol. I scoured them tags over and over heck even had a buddy looking them over with me.
I do thank you for your better vision lol
Data plates , and yes I found out the bed and tank was swapped due to tank being full of some sort of a slurry mixture would not drain too heavy to ship.
Need more detailed pics? Still trying to make out what the data plates say for info but isn't very promising. Afraid to wipe them or try any sort of cleaners....
Data plates on dash are so far faded its very hard to decipher what it says.... I will get pics of the truck as a whole and post them up. As far as I can tell it does have a multi fuel engine appears to be Hercules but not positive.
