I had an M35 A2 and the axles were not lockers so we got stuck a lot I have found a good deal on an 818 and was wondering does it have lockers or limited slip or anything better than one tire fire thanks for the help in advance
Everything happens for a reason.... Wouldn't have changed those ratty glow plugs otherwise. I had to crack the return line on the pump to bleed it and she is firing. Manifold is still off so I shut it down as soon as she cranks. Thanks for the help, I will have more later.
Replaced glow plugs old ones were swollen on ends and some were cracked. Still no start. Pulled #2 injector looked a little rusty but was running 3 days ago?
Bought truck put batteries to it, wire at firewall was corroded so I replaced it,replaced starter and she cranked and ran, drove it about 1/2 mile down road behind my place started intermittently losing throttle and dying. Finally just gave up on me. Thought it had ran out of fuel but was time...
Well the business side of it was why the purchase was made. It must get to the site empty, (loaded with tools and welder on the flatbed we built). Then hook to our trailers with building components and or scissor lifts Skytraks etc etc and get them through and around mud/rough terrain.

I added about 800 lbs in steel, 800 lbs in welder 300 in torches and 500 in tools. I know its not much but should help. I wanna go to a meet and be able to hang with everyone at least, don't have to be the baddest. Plus I can fix just about anything lol.
So, did I make a bad choice or is it as off road capable as any other 5 ton? Found some links for modding the pump and air filter. What else can I do. Gonna put a lot of faith in this thing to keep us working. Just bought 300 bucks of oils and filters to take care of it and looking into the ctis...
I didnt install a duece bed I custom fabbed one out of c channel 2x3 tubing and 1/2'' plate steel. I have a 12k winch with hooks and a receiver hitch to mount it anywhere I want, I do want to get a larger winch when I can figure out a good source. We started out small time with tiny buildings...
I bought the 18 wheeler looking one with a 5th wheel. It is a 2001. I took off the 5th wheel and little ramp and put a flatbed on it so I can mount my welder and tools because we build steel buildings in remote locations. I would like it to go a little faster(just a little, more on the low end...
