Find an aftermarket company that offers lift kits for an '83 Burb. HMMWV manifolds will physically bolt to the engine, but may not clear the inner fenders/frame rails of the Burb. Don't forget to install the starter-to-engine-block bracket the is on back of starter -

Unless you're truly bucking for originality, I'd strongly recommend converting to a dual circuit master cylinder for safety reasons, even if staying with drum brakes. Good effective brakes are kinda important... 'Tanner'

Funny... I can import a vehicle that is 25+ years old, and not have to meet DOT/EPA/FMVSS standards, but you can't title/register a truck built in the US for mil-use, then sold to a civilian. That's screwed up - luck! 'Tanner'
