    Key wouldnt engage the starter

Well I had an intresting problem with my M1009 this morning. Should have been easy but it was hard to track the problem down. Ive been running the electrical gremlins out of the truck since i picked it up the day before yesterday. So the key would move and light the dash and gauges up but...

    1009 delivered today

I just picked up my M1009 from Ft Sill yesterday. The GL lady is very nice and drove us to the yard where everything is parked. Just got it home and it already has a pushbutton GP system. Just needed two fresh batteries, A battery cable with terminal, and me putting the driveshaft back in.

California ARB (CARB) and Diesel "pollution"

HMMM.... i know the one voting block you never want to mess with is retirees. I remember people getting around the California commercial vehicle regulations by making the truck an RV. Maybe if all else fails you can convert to a camper. I know the big diesel motor coaches are about the same weight.

    M103a3 recovery from Wright Pat

when i unload I use the ramp at a local heavy equipment rental agency. They dont mind and dont charge anything for it. I think im such a novelty that they like seeing what weird stuff im going to drag up. You could always just hire a rollback wrecker. Drive it to the wrecker lot and let them...

    Strange Bird?

did a wiki search on it and it seems it is called the Cheyenne. It was intended to be used as an armed escort for the UH-1 helos around 1969ish. This is one of 10 prototypes. Politics and some questionable technical issues grounded the program in the early 70's and the design eventually led to...

    Strange Bird?

We saw this one as a static display on Fort Campbell today while going to GL to get my towbar. I had never seen anything like it. The side says its a AH-56A maybe sometype of experimental that is maybe based on the HIND gunbship design. It had a push prop in the rear along with the tail rotor...

First post and questions about a modified BOB

if you dont bob it you have a deuce.... very cool if you do bob it you have what looks like a big M37...... also very cool the reason to bob or not to bob are up to the individual who owns it. mostly for what use its going to be used for. I prefer a fullsize m35 but driving a bobber is easier.
