    1984 M1009 Value?

Pictures would help visualize the condition. If the body is straight and the frame is good then it’s got to be worth a minimum of $10,000 and maybe upwards of $20,000. Can you post some pictures to give it justice?

So I bought a M1070, now maybe I should learn something about them.

Maybe he will market them differently or reach out to a different group of potential uses than you did? Why so “grumpy” all the while? Glass half-full and keep yer chin up!

So I bought a M1070, now maybe I should learn something about them.

This thing has been sitting here for years. About 50 miles from me.

So I bought a M1070, now maybe I should learn something about them.

That’s a good idea & something to consider. I wonder if they need a different pump on the trailer - suck, deliver, transfer? The tank on the truck doesn’t necessarily need a pump but if it could fill itself & pump wouldn’t that be even better? Unless, of course that’s what you implied...

So I bought a M1070, now maybe I should learn something about them.

Those main winches have a 55,000 pound single line pull - each. If my days as a recovery vehicle operator aren’t too fuzzy that means With a 2:1 block & tackle (minus friction, etc) each winch can pull approximately 110,000 pounds each for a total of 220,000. If both winches work as they...

How do you think that broke tank got up on the trailer? And that winch can be used for self-recovery.

So I bought a M1070, now maybe I should learn something about them.

Frankly, I would leave the winch in place and make it operational. It could be a huge help for you or someone else if you get in to a tight spot. The other stuff certainly has value, as does the winch. The trick is to find the guy that needs them. By no means would I scrap any of it. Tuck it...

I do have COMMERCIAL plates. Because of the GVWR there was no choice.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

I reckon you have a monitor in the cab. I’m wondering if you could access your cameras via WI-FI and your phone? Can you activate your cameras separately from the back-up circuit or turn signals? I would like a system where the cameras are always on and they record & store a more than...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Looks nice & clean! Bunch of questions became I have a 3 channel (3 camera system) I would like to install. 1) Do you have just the one camera or do you have 2 or 3? 2) If it’s just one for now can you add on additional cameras in the future? 3) I know there are a variety of camera systems...

    Fan blade - replaced

Today I replaced my fan blade because it was cracked. Picked up a good take-off from Wheelspinner a couple of months ago. I followed the TM - to a point. To remove the upper shroud we’re supposed to remove both of the air charger lines and the upper radiator hose. I did not remove the...

    Diesel Prices.....WTF ????

Millions of us said this was going to happen the minute Biden won. Our economic woes were punctuated when the stimulus payments went out. So strap in tight fellas, this rides just getting started - you ain’t seen nothing yet. Let them eat cake.

    Third's Build Discussion

Do you have enough room to mount the cabinets an inch or two off the wall (stand-offs) so the conduit can stay in place & no drilling is necessary to the cabinets?

    Top speed - highway

Folks, my post about my truck’s top speed wasn’t to inspire a vigorous conversation on the topic of safety. If I can figure out how to turn off commenting I will do so. If that’s not possible I’ll look in to deleting the thread. My apologies to all.

    Top speed - highway

Did you put a flashing light / strobe light (not high intensity but bright enough to clearly make your vehicle stand out) on the rear somewhere so it will get the attention of people following you? Maybe I should look for something like that. Would sure hate to see someone get wedged under...

    MEP-803 locking up, help?

You’re right, something could have dropped in to the cylinder not allowing the piston to go all the way up and around to the next stroke. If you have a bore scope type camera maybe you could peek in to that cylinder without removing the head. I wonder if an auto parts store rents those out...

    Top speed - highway

I’d be pretty happy to get an average of 8 mpg.
