No switch. Just dump whatever you had for fuel in the tank.
My wreckers had dual tanks and there was a LEFT & RIGHT tank diverter valve to pull from which ever tank you wanted.
Now I’m trying to remember if it had a L & R switch for the fuel gauge?
It is preformed. Here’s an article I found. Seems it’s difficult to find the OEM one by part or stock #. This article discusses using a different hose. Beware though, they also discussed leaks!
I have these lights but with brackets for hanging / stowing - not magnetic bases. I made a cable that connects to the RAWLS receptacle & I changed the bulb from 24V to 12V. They work great!
Theres 2 switches at play here. The multi-function switch in the “stalk” works in conjunction with the plate switch under the steering wheel. The plate switch assembly under the steering wheel controls the turn signal & turn signal cancellation, the horn, and the hi-line beam (on some models)...
I believe they see it as a “reassignment” of the SF97 - sort of a ‘pass-through’ which, the way they do it, alleviates the need for GP/IP to license / register them in their name.
GP/IP purchased the trucks & are selling them. The process is that when sold at auction a SF97 will be requested then. This saves DLA & GP/IP from having to produce 2 separate SF97’s.
I picked up an pintle extension kit, spare radiator, cab sheet metal to replace a damaged piece on my cab, tailgate, and service kit from Wheelspinner. I really enjoy visiting him and checking out his operation.
It would be the same for any mid 80’s GM truck. But before you submit yourself to that bastion of pain, do a thorough inspection of the circuit up through the steering column chase. And be sure ALL grounds are clean & tight.
GM blessed us with some crappy combinations / multi-function...
It might be worth your time to consider additional measures. In the military we simply chained steering wheels. Having redundant security measures is the best approach - but that won’t stop miscreants from wreaking havoc.
As I type this I recall a short vid where a guy planted a flash-bang in...
Frankly, it would not have been worth the time for them to punch out new schematics for every iteration of FMTV. We would have appreciated it - and if those cartoons exist they’re hidden deep in the bowels of some dusty Davy Jones type footlocker; if they exist & are ever found it would garner...
As a new guy to the MV world I hadn’t given much thought to joining any national organization. The time I spent reflecting on it was from the prospective of the benefit of getting affordable insurance.
Could you explain the golf cart classification piece?
Creating a legal entity is easy. The...
Most likely not any kind of Recon. We put all sorts of stuff on our vehicles - except when some geek of a Commander got his girl bits tied up in a knot and put a halt to it.
It’s hard to really make out the picture but it looks like it could artillery cannon tubes.
