Yes, standard gauge panel. Also the fender was torched out (slag and all) for the stack. When I changed out my J-pipe last year. I thought at the time, what a skilled metal craftsman, must mave put that hole in the fender.

It's in. :razz: The little seat looks lower than the springer seats next to it in the pictures. I made it so the bottom cushion would be at the same hight that the springer seats would be, when someone is sitting in them compressing them down.

The truck is a 1970, if that matters.

Interesting, when did they quit making non-turbo Deuces? I take it, at a certain piont, all M35A2's came with a C or D turbo?

Bringing an old post back to life. :deadhorse: Another mistery MV piece. I was under the truck today, and I noticed under the cab on the inside of passanger side frame rail, there is a bracket with nothing bolted or attached to it. I take it, the bracket is for something obsolete.

Dave, do you ever make it over to the Holland area? If so, I'd be interested in some.

There's about 14" of space between the bucket seats. So I'm going to cut down and modify the stock fold down passanger seat to fit between them. Kind of a small jumper seat, center console. With the backrest folded down, it'll give us some place to set food/drinks and what not, if we pull over...

We bought in quantity so we could get a discounted price. I bought one for myself to install in the rear of my Bobbed Deuce. So that one isn't for sale. Another guy had bought one also for his Deuce, and SS member (gunnerbear) had bought the rest, one for his Deuce and the rest to sell. I know...

No need for pipe fittings or a ball valve. Just drill a small 1/8" hole, into the bottom of the J-pipe. That is all that's needed to keep water from pooling.

I didn't get the seats directly from MasterCraft. I got them from a guy on egay, that sold these and other military parts. He's located out of Florida, if you want to try and search. He had a couple dozen at the time when I purchased mine, but that was last fall. The seats, including the 4" seat...

I'd grind it down, and put everything back togather. It's right at the outer edge of the mounting/sealing surface, on the outside of the bolt anyways. You should be fine. Run it for a bit, then ckeck for leaks.

I was tired of my old uncomfortable box seat, and the stock fold down seat next to it, was less than desirable for my wife/passengers. So I picked up two ugly springer seats and a pair of MasterCraft seats to mount on the springer seat bases. The drivers side seat base bolted into the stock...

I've never disconected the battery on a car, whenever I've welded on them. It shur wouldn't hurt though, I guess. As for the gas tank, if there isn't any leaks, and the tank is sound, you will not have any problems. On a side note...when welding on a vehicle, I keep a five gallon bucket full...

Another bracket, that I don't know what it's for. All three Deuces that I've owned had this, but nothing ever bolted or conected to it. What's it for?

.030 of run out on a wheel is an acceptable tolerance, for something that's driven on the road at speeds.
