    Fuel system ferrules

This is an old thread I found while looking for return lines for an LDS46651A engine. What was decided on the best material for the return line hoses? I have a spare engine that part of the return lines are missing. Of the ones still there some are copper and some are clear plastic. I'd...

A Electric Deuce, in a DUMBS (Deep Underground Military Base)?

:shock:It's very clear to me what this is: a massive Zombie processing plant. They march the Zombies down the tunnel with the spray heads hosing them down with patent pending Zombie Disolving Fluid. If any survive they're held in the chain link holding pens until they do disolve. Then the...

Welding rod ID Quad steel 94

I have a box of welding rods that were in some miscellaneous junk I got at a state surplus sale. The only markings on the rods is "Quad Steel 94". No markings or brand on the plastic box they're in. Anyone have any idea what these are for? I haven't found anything doing an internet search.

    Impact on availability of HMMVV's?

I'd doubt it, the muttonheads in Washington that make the rules probably won't reverse themselves. You know the "thats the way it's always been crowd". They will probably say that the humvee doesn't meet current road standards.2cents

CARC paint;how to remove-yet another question...

:ditto:I used this method on my '53 Dodge on the large flat areas using Aircraft Stripper outside on windy days. There were multiple layers of what looked like white house paint the rural fire dept. had painted the truck with over the green. After a couple of hours the paint just slid off with a...

Hydraulic Oil, can you use it is fuel?

Let you in on fire resistant hydraulic fluids(Like Skydrol for aircraft) it still burns. Thats how we used to get rid of contaminated fluid, burn it in the boiler to generate steam. It' is fire resistant, not fire proof, you should see it burn. The best reason not to use it is because it...

New motor oil- burn in deuce

Hmmm . . . I'd do both, use it for motor oil then burn it as fuel. I've been running my multi on 100% motor oil for several years now. I filter it down to 5 microns and pump it in.2cents:rolleyes:

Patton Museum moving to Ft. Benning afterall

I have some pictures a friend and I took in the 1968 to 1970 era of the original Patton museum, mostly of the outside displays because the old Brownie camera didn't have a flash. We were going to school in Louisville at the time and that was a favorite hangout on weekends. I remember the wide...

What is this for Turbo?, it looks huge compared to 1c and 1d

How well does it work? If it is close to a "C" or "D" I don't know why not.

Patton Museum moving to Ft. Benning afterall

I for one am sorry to see the move. Knox is only 280 miles away, Benning is 650. I'll probably never get to see the new place.:(

    GL-1 Gear Oil Alternative

Want to upload manuals for 8606 Forklift

If you want me to burn you a copy and mail it, PM me your postal address. If you need a hard copy I can take my manuals to Kinko's and get a copy made. I don't know what it will cost today, the last time was about 2 years ago and it cost around $50 plus shipping, don't know the shipping cost...

    looking to buy a 1985 m1009

Just out of curiosity, what is the clamp mounted on the drivers side just behind the seat? I have one of these on my forklift and don't know what it's for. Looks like a nice vehicle.

    scrapping out

I'm in the market for two hardtops and a drivers door if available. Does anybody know if the 80? truck front springs will fit on an M51A2 w/w? My front springs are pretty flattened out and I was wondering if the 800 w/w front springs would fit since I figure with the heavier Cummins engine...
