The brake clean won't eat the paint?

Ok I'll try one of those or maybe all of them. Lol I'm going to stencil my hood numbers on. I think the vinyl looks too modern and for my A1 I really would like the paint & stencil look. But anyways, Thank you!

Ok I have my hood numbers removed from my A1. They were vinyl, how the heck do you get the residue removed!? I've tried WD40 on a rag, paint thinner (very light with both) and the hot soapy water thing. None have worked very well. Any suggestions??

52 M38A1, its a Carter YS model, it was running real rich. I reset the float and put in a new needle & seat. Now I've gone back to the old needle & seat and now its acting like it has no fuel when driving down the road. I'm going to reset my float again and go from there.

Ok I got it to run. I went back to the old needle & seat. Got it running and doesn't want to run smooth. I took it for a drive and when driving down the road it falls on its face like it has no fuel. Suggestions? :cry:

Changed out the needle & seat. Now it will not start! It ran before I took it apart. I checked the float before I put it back together and I thought it was right. Help please??

Are these easy to come by for the A1? And are they possibly the same for a CJ5?

I pulled all the plugs last night all have a lot of carbon on them & are not a tan color like they should be. Looks like I'm going to get a carb kit & go through it!

I got it close, just trying to figure out why it keeps fouling #4, its also running rich, I've messed with the idle mixture and seem to get the same thing, so I may have to see if I have a stuck float/ needle & seat.

Yes I am coming to the dust off! My A1 won't be there but if this becomes an annual thing I will bring it next year! Redbeard this is the way I got my jeep, it looks better in the pictures, its a motor pool class jeep, but it runs & drives!
