    Don't forget the parking brake. Mine was frozen at the pivot points and the cable stuck. I drove about 100yds from where it was parked and thought something was on fire.

    Thats what I would do. Cut it short and find a socket a little smaller and tap or beat on it till it makes the unhardened part conform to the socket. The tapping and or beating should help loosen it up.

    I'm with WM. I've changed tires on a lot of things over the years, but big truck tires I don,t plan on doing but once for practice in an emergency, and I will do it it with the bare minimum of the tools I would have at the time. anybody know what the bare minimum is?
