Did they restore this big one? I'm one of those impulse buyers that would really
stimulate the economy if millions landed on my doorstep.

All of the above. You didn't mention the type of paint or primer unless I missed it. The enamels
are pretty easy to remove, the CARC and other polyurethanes will be much harder.
Thats what I'm afraid of. There are probably only a few preserved as HMV. There weren't that many made and most are made to do tour duty, like the DUCK's after
WW2. There aluminum construction makes them desireable for scrap when its high.
Anybody watched/bid on the LARC V on GSA that sold today? I saw two at that lot when I picked up my truck. Not a very practical vehicle till there is a flood, but way cool. It sold for $21,550. When I saw it 3-1/2 yrs ago I was planning on being rich enough to afford it when it came up for sale.

There are lot of threads under the paint and bodywork...
If it worked on it and it worked before check to sure to make sure something you did with attaching the wires is touching a ground or check them with an ohmmeter with the points open and the external wires disconnected to see if the points have a defect.
good luck!

Lookin good. I'm not as dedicated as you seem to be and get interupted by family time. Hope you are able to knock it out quicker than I've been able to do.
Good Luck!
It could be just a high resitence problem caused by a bad gauge panel ground, or it could be bad news. Check all of the connections and see if you can put a jumper from the battery negative to the back of one of the gauge mounting posts? Having the same problem and mines a long term project I...
