Look at how a branch from a tree sweeps across the truck front, and it will make sense. You want to keep things that sweep from connecting with the windshield with any degree of force. I show more when I make mine.

This is exactly what I am saying. You can do it yourself (and save thousands) , BUT you must spend hundreds of hours scanning every tid bit of information in maintenance, let alone doing the work and paying for the tools and parts. This why I outlined the failure points of the 3116.

If you can get ahold of a Meyer-Carpenter 3116 adjustment kit, they are MUCH easier than the CAT version to set up the rack.

Are you saying you need a tool to pull the injectors on a 3116? Or do need a puller plus the rack adjustment tools? Some people make their own tools to save money.

Diaphragms are inexpensive. I keep them in both sizes. You already know the precautions with brake cans.
