    Starter NHC250

Follow-up. Sometimes you can just take a starter apart & clean it up inside.

    Starter NHC250

Check for a good ground. In my experience, most vehicular electrical problems are caused by a poor ground. If you do need a starter, is there a rebuilder in your area? An auto parts store should be able to get it done for you or know where to send you. Or maybe someone on here will have one...

    Oil Pressure problem (maybe)

SG, How did you determine the pressure regulator was bad, & how did you fix it?

Please help with oil pressure problem

Cougarman did say it had a mechanical gauge. But I suppose the mechanical gauge could be bad.

    Primary Filter Gasket?

I've been to two NAPA stores asking for the #5131 fuel filter gaskets. This is what they keep coming up with.

Winching under & to the rear

In my experience, 6 wheels driving just means you'll get stuck 6 time worse! But on topic, I remember some guys in VietNam trying to winch a Deuce backward out of the sand by running the cable underneath the truck. I heard they did a lot of damage before the cable broke & wiped out the...

    2 phase m109?

There really is no such thing as "two phase" electric. I remember hearing it was something they experimented with MANY years ago, & it didn't work out. I've never seen a shop van setup, but it's probably 220 volt single phase.

    Deuce driving in snow

I have no doubt that "airing down" the tires would give you much better traction in snow, but how practical is that idea? I guess if I was just going to drive around my place in the snow, it wouldn't be too bad. When I was done I could just pull into the shop & air them up. But, say you drive...

    Deuce driving in snow

My M35 with NDTs, empty, does poorly in snow. Level ground is okay, but with any kind of side angle it will slip sideways. I don't know how much the weight of the shop van will help, but I would guess it would help a lot. I carry chains but haven't had to use them yet. I have a long tow strap...

    Deuce heater options

I've tried diesel & kerosene. I don't even bother trying to burn the wmo/gas mix I use for the engine. And I've had them apart & cleaned the fuel control valves. When the fuel burning heaters work, they definitely put out a lot of heat. Just not sure they're worth all the trouble or whether I...

    Deuce heater options

As I posted in the "defroster issues" thread: 'My first Deuce, which was set up for the arctic, has the heater mounted under the dash. I also use the grill cover. Works very well both heat & defrost down to 10. Haven't driven it in colder weather. I will put the heater in my second Deuce under...

    Defroster issues

My first Deuce, which was set up for the arctic, has the heater mounted under the dash. I also use the grill cover. Works very well both heat & defrost down to 10. Haven't driven it in colder weather. I will put the heater in my second Deuce under the dash too. I might even try to relocate the...

    Odd dash

Without taking time to look things up, I'll clarify a couple things from memory: Diamond Rio is a country music group. REO was the original designer of the M35 trucks. (Ransom E. Olds of Oldsmobile fame). At some point Diamond T & REO combined & made the Diamond REO truck. The trucks with the...

2.5 Ton Rockwell Axle seal tool?

Okay, you've made me curious. What is a "tanker bar"?

    non turbo ,low on power?

My Deuce with turbo definitely winds faster than my non-turbo Deuce, even with fuel turned up.

    Primary Filter Gasket?

I know this has come up before, but I can't find the answer. What are the absolutely, for sure, CORRECT NAPA part numbers for the primary & secondary fuel filter gaskets?

    Anyone else made wood bows?

Thanks Earth! Those are the details I needed. I've got a buddy who is retired, & a very good woodworker. This will give him something to do. Eric

    GL wants my Deuce back

FYI for those that don't know: It is a violation of FEDERAL law to lie to a federal law enforcement agent.
