1. I run 50-60 PSI.
2. Yes there is an O ring. One of mine leaked with no definite reason, although there was some rust in the seating area which probably caused it. HEAVY but not technically difficult to fix. Tubes may be a good idea, but I like the beadlocks with the tubeless tires too.
5. I...
Again, the hitch I got from a Chevy Suburban fit fine. Deuce frame rails measure 28" ID & 34" OD.
I just got a hitch from a recent Dodge pickup, & it's actually designed for a frame that measures 34" ID, 39" OD. I'll adapt it & use it.
Some ford truck hitches I saw at the junkyard were for...
I got dizzy taking them.
After cutting firewood in the 85° heat all day yesterday, & the 92° heat today, I had to unload the truck to get the pictures.
Shower, beer, supper, bed are next.
More pics.
Heater is 15,000 BTU Multifuel.
Fuel line taps right into tank, as this heater has it's own fuel pump.
T Stat was connected wit Romex, & screwed to front wall.
Exhaust goes down thru bed floor with galvanized pipe. 1" or 1 1.25 ", & straight radiator-type hose comes out above the...
hndrsonj,
Obviously bronze is softer than steel, but I couldn't find any steel bushings that would work. If I had a lot of spare time I could make some, but I don't.
Considering that the bushings would be "captured" in the holes, I can't imagine how they could fail. It's not like they are a...
Okay, I pulled a couple of bolts out of my winch to see what they look like.
Spent some time trying to find bushings or sleeves to use on standard 1/2 " bolts.
Couldn't find any with the 1/2 ID & 9/16 OD required, but found these that could easily be bored/drilled out.
McMaster Carr has them...
Yup. Exhaust goes out through floor of bed.
I've promised Waller I'll get pictures of mine installed. I'll post them for anyone interested.
And by the way. My heater looks nothing like the one M109guy shows.
Okay, now I'm a little concerned.
In preparation for installing a winch on my M35A2, I pulled a couple of the bolts from my M35 winch to get the sizes. They were just common "short thread" bolts as I described above. So I bought them at NAPA.
Could someone post dimensions of the correct bolts...
Just noticed this thread. Are you guys talking about the bolts that go through the frame extensions & into the winch?
On my M35 they're not 'shoulder" bolts with a thread diameter smaller than the bolt shank, they're just bolts that are only partially threaded.
And I know those are available at...
FWIW- This time of year, I run a mix of about 60% FILTERED (1 micron) motor oil & 40% diesel.
The only differences I notice, is that it's more important to get the engine up to 180 degrees+ for it to run well, & it cranks about 3 revolutions before it starts.
Once up to temp, I have no...
As a Vietnam Veteran, I sometimes take offense at some of the things I read of on here. And I respond harshly.
And I know, I can be a grouchy old bastard at times.
But I'm not going to change at this point, and I wouldn't expect anyone else to either.
I get over it.
I like almost everything...
