Guys,
It looks to me like Coyotegray is not trying to "repair" damaged tarps. For that I've found vinyl swimming pool repair stuff works well.
I think he's looking for a "waterproofer" or "preservative" that will seal & lengthen the life of vinyl covers.
Me too.
I've tried to find the same info several times, with little success.
If you search for vinyl preservatives on the net you'll find several possibles, but nothing I'm sure of.
I've used Armor-All for a couple of years, but don't know if it really helps or not.

No place for FREE in classifieds, so I'm putting this here too.

Insulated winter CARGO cover for Deuce. NEEDS REPAIR. Canvas is torn in spots.
Has plexiglass window with zipper covers.
If you want it, come & get it. Weighs 200-300 pounds. On a pallet. I can load with forklift.
If not...
A buddy needs a 5 Ton wrecker hauled from Lansing Michigan to North Judson Indiana. Pickup in 2 weeks.
North Judson is in NW Indiana, about 60 miles south & a little west of South Bend.
Anyone interested?

I have a loose one you could borrow to copy, if you want to pay the shipping.
I had no problem finding the lever when I needed one, but paid dearly for the bracket that bolts to the master cylinder.
I would have to get a deposit in advance to loan that one out.
Let me know.

My first Deuce has the same setup. Also had the arctic cargo cover , cargo compartment heater, hood blanket, grill cover,& hot water heater mounted under dash.
Look for an electrical plug near the right headlight that I guess the Swingfire heater plugged into.

I've seen a few good quality batteries blow up through the years. Rarely has anyone been able to prove why. It's usually a maintenance (lack of water/dirty connection) or charging problem.
I would suspect a charger malfunction.

ARYankee,
First make sure it is actually gear oil that's leaking, & not brake fluid. A leaking wheel cylinder can show up the same way. Sniff it!
Check your brake fluid, of course.
The plug you're seeing "halfway up" is the fill & level plug. Fill with GO 90 until oil reaches bottom of hole.
Not a good picture, but all I have.

Adam,
I ran an MRS tractor for a while in 'Nam, but don't know what model. We used them to pull belly scrapers. Lots of power.
Seems to me they had an 8 speed hydro trans. Great fun on paved roads, as they were pretty fast.
SeaBee museum in Port Hueneme California might be some help.
