    M998 vs DOT

Ya , it was a job , not a calling , if you know what I mean . With the advent of all this computer technology if any thing it makes it easier for State and Federal governments to check on ALL of us . I bet you did not know that one of the BIGGEST money makers for DMV's is DATA information sales...

    M998 vs DOT

What is happening with title's and registration's is that a LOT of states are going to what is called a FEDERAL TITLE . Basically , what it is , is that the FEDS want ALL state titles to follow a certain format , all having the same info and security (Water Marks) . The other little issue is...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Kinda walked into the winch , happened to hit GL on Black Friday , got 40% off the list price , could not pass it up . I measured the winch and frame and probably have to add a few inch's to the frame , then plan on a 3/8" steel plate between the rails . The kit came with a fair-lead roller ...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Picked up my winch and frame extensions so I can install the winch , soon as the weather clears . I plan on installing one of the 24 volt Warn winch's , appears to be a pretty hefty unit . For ME the 24 volt is the way to go and I got some real good info using the search function on this site .

    Mike D's deuce recovery/modification thread

Think of the Carlyle Car Show in PA , but for MV's and yes you can get just about anything MV related from Uniforms to Vehicles , plus you can show your MV . It is a good time , 15 ACRES OF FUN as they say . Friday and Saturday are the big days , I usually get there Thursday afternoon and leave...

    Mike D's deuce recovery/modification thread

The Aberdeen show is May 8-10 2014 at Karl Ripken Stadium . It's right off 95 . The MVPA convention is June 26-28 , 2014 at Louisville , Kentucky . Both shows are good , you get to meet the a lot of the vendors you will be dealing with , plus you get to meet a lot of the SUSPECTS on this...

    GSA auctions

yup , that's how it worked for my brothers VFD MV's , he had the whole spectrum at one time or another , MV 37's ,715's 211's 35's 5 ton's , and yes they were BUBBA-FIED , . The good thing is they had a GSA source for parts , they just had to ask and pretty much got it . I remember going to...

    GSA auctions

Agreed , GSA equipment and vehicles seem well used and abused . My brother had Forest Service MV's when he first started the local VFD , they were not that great to begin with and were junk by the time he turned them back over to GSA for disposal .

My Class V Receiver Hitch for M35A2

Very nice layout and process .Very nicely done . Many years ago , I was a Helper in a steel FAB shop , man that was nice , learned a lot and as a plus , if I needed any type of Metal for my fab side job all I had to do was order it up . I have a Harris Gas setup , and Hobart Mig and AC/DC stick...

    cummins 6.7 ?

I didn't say I WOULD do it , I just like to HELP OTHER's spend LOTS of THEIR money . sorta like adding fuel to the fire ! LOL !!

    cummins 6.7 ?

I agree that a wrecked Ram is the way to go , you would get all the brackets and electronics you need ,without having to go searching . The six speed would be a NICE addition to a Deuce and it would be able to handle the power .

    cummins 6.7 ?

You can fit ANYTHING to ANYTHING with enough time and money . Do a search on the Deuce hot rod site here , I seem to remember somebody did a 5.9 conversion on a deuce , but he used a 4500 5 speed . As I remember it was quite the deal when he finished . He even converted the winch over to...

    cummins 6.7 ?

Same series engine , it would fit the same as the 5.9 B engine . Once you got the electronic's sorted out , man that would be killer . A 6.7 with a six speed , I would think you would need to save up for the disc brake conversion because it would go pretty good .

Lighting Alternatives/ Show us your headlights

I have the LED's in my M35A3 , and they work great , as the old trucks need all the lighting help you can get . Plus the benefit of less light load on your light switch .
