My 1008 had 35,000 on the clock when i bought it im roughly 5th or 6th owner since it was retired from the air force the 2 cycle oil does work i do it about everyother fill up it made a real diffrence in the way it ran thats for sure :-D

I personally can say i can attest to most everything in the postings of this thread My cucv was bought cheap so i had leway in spending money to drive it Alts starter among other things the 24 volt system works wonders if kept up i drive my m1008 near about everyday

The thing is its the obvious is usally the culpret lol been thier done that also should be a student hahahah Another one rides the bus Who am i kidding im the driver all aboard :grd:

heres where i mounted mine on the m1008 I bought a led license plate light from advance auto parts for $15.00 its pretty bright at night i can see it when i back up lol

My m1008 was airforce probably only had a double digit number on it and was parked in a field before the usda got it and painted it red finding out any info about it is like :deadhorse:lol

Well i personaly like the 24 volts as i have figured out a way to regulate the voltage for use with cb equipment that was my whole intentions of buying the m1008 i love my truck the 24 volts is defintely a better way to turn the massive 21:1 Compression diesel that is in the cucvs also our local...
