    809 series coolant flush procedure?

I used muratic acid. But you must be careful, and triple rinse the system before adding antifreeze. Remember, you are flushing a 42 QT system, and it takes a lot of stuff to clean the junk out. I had the insides of the hoses clogging up the thermostat, and the coolant looked like rubber...

The curious case of the M923A2 Shut Off Solenoid.

Oil pressure kill circuit is bypassed when the starter is engaged. There is enough oil pressure from the starter spinning the engine, that when the engine starts, and you let go of the switch, the kill circuit won't trip. It only takes 20psi or so to close the switch. Works just about the...

    Usefulness of "regular exercise"?

Yes, exercise is good. I like to run mine about 30-40 minutes every two weeks. I drive it hard enough to get both the 250 and the tires warm(I have some hills on my loop that I drive).

Last night GL win and another project

The rain was only bad for about 20 min. Bud and I had a dry run back to Atlanta, and I spent the trip watching the left over parts on the chassis of the deuce, making sure that they stayed put. It was great turning wrenches with Troy and Tony. I also found out that I cannot hold onto tools...

The curious case of the M923A2 Shut Off Solenoid.

My guess also- intermittant or low oil pressure switch trip. It "could" be the protection box, so plumb in a gauge in the oil line, and verify the oil pressure. Good pressure? bad sender or protection box

Last night GL win and another project

If we drive fast enough, the rain should just flow right over the windshield. Or, we can get a tarp, and about a mile of 200 mph tape, and build us a soft top. Or have ferro steal one of the soft tops he has in his compound. Or just have the sun shine..............:naner:

Project time once again Swiss's CUCV

The problem is that when Zout finishes the paint job on Swiss's CUCV, the paint and body work will be more expensive then the vehicle, and it will look so good that Swiss will hide it in a garage.
