Got driveshafts balanced yet? Otherwise, it's like a grenade ready to go off at any time.

I was watching a 4x4 program where they were using a special u joint with twin u joints in the same unit to overcome angulation.

I would say that keeping the grease zerks always greased would likely reduced the wear on the yolks and other parts. I would use synthetic since they tend to be more tacky and are not as likely to get rinsed out.

Everyone was a Newbie themselves once. No one is pre-programmed at the factory. It is a honor to teach. Contrasting opinions are ok if done respectfully.

    1078 LMTV A0 windshield wiper

Silicone blades are not cheap, but well worth it in the long run.

I have not seen the rock hard plastic issue with any of my vehicles. I have however seen the Southern sun destroy rubber blades though. This is why I went to silicone blades. They will outlast rubber ones 10 to 1.

    In-Line Coolant Heater Location?

Well, technically the heat gets transmitted all throughout the "entire engine" per HotStart.

    In-Line Coolant Heater Location?

The radiant heat loss is improved by the foil of sound deadening at the top of the engine bay.

    In-Line Coolant Heater Location?

I have a preference for a freeze plug heater since the oil is at temp and flows better on start.

Any suggestions on snapped off brass fitting on brake can?

    Hey, now there's a thought!
  19. Reworked LMTV

    In-Line Coolant Heater Location?

I have the block heater that you are talking about. I ended up scrapping that idea because as mentioned, the 3116 does not lend itself well to it. Just use a freeze plug heater. Easy. 5 minutes if no coolant in engine.
