If you find either one and can afford it I would also have to think about the parts availability and cost. I want one too! I've seen threads on here about them before and you can probably find them a lot easier now with the new site, the search function seems to work much better.:-D...

I took mine all apart to change the cab and there are a lot of pieces to keep track of! If you don't have to kae the cab off, just do it a couple of pieces at a time. I spent more time searching for the part than actually working on the truck when I first started going back together...

I'm glad that my son yelled for me to duck the first time I put mine in the garage. I almost got decapitated. The windshield wouldn't be a big problem, but the bows for the cover on it would.

Aircraft Spruce has a lot of different shapes of weatherstripping and sizes of ducting you might be able to use. I don't have a heater in mine and won't need the ducting, but I will need all of the door and windshield rubber at some point. At $150 or $200 a door I'm going to have to do without...
I remember a few in CA about a year ago going for just over 10K on GL
Location could be a big factor. They are very wide and transportation would probably be very expensive.

Anybody know if there was a blank boss on the block somewhere that could be drilled and put a pickup tube down through the block into the oil pan. I think I remember seeing a possible on mine, just too late to go look. I would be really scared to have something protruding off the bottom for any...
I always notice the smell of antifreeze in a parking lot when it first starts getting in the thirties here. Usually around older cars that probably hasn't had the hoses changed or clamp tightened in over ten or fifteen years. I think a lot of our trucks would fit into that category...
I think DD said it best. I 'm not saying I wouldn't do it myself if I had some scrap to play with. I wouldn't post on the internet if I thought of repurcusions of some idiot reporter putting it in the wrong context. Me and some friends had a few beers years ago and deciced to destroy an old...
I thought the M50 was a tank destroyer? When I look at history I see a lot of thngs we export and then see them used against us in a time of war because so many other nations
are unstable and a few years down the road they are used against us. I hope all of the things we tried to do in Iraq to...
Never got a reply on this one and before I start buchering the hood, can anyone post a photo that can show how the hood is supposed to look here? The newer cab had the reinforcement for the air cleaner. I'm wondering if maybe the rear of the cab is too low for some reason or the front is too...
A couple years ago a neighbor had to move a vehicle and rented a towbar from U-haul. I don't know if putting the tranfercase in neutral would allow towing it without disconnecting the driveshafts or not.

I like the lights! Another use might be to flash them when you can tell another vehicle is
approaching your rear too fast on all of the two lanes up there.

Kinda wondered the same thing. I would much rather let it idle around the neighborhood whil it was cooling down, probably get to meet more neighbors.
