    Torque Multiplier wheel Wrench Help

I bit the bullet and acquired one a few months ago. All the tool places looked at me like I had three heads. Even the truck places that carried alot of Ken-Tool stuff. They had to "special order" it, oooo Big Fantastic Deal. They made it sound like they were jumping through hoops for me...

RE: questions Thanks for all the well wishes, I am assembling my "master recovery kit" with kitchen sink for tommorrow. Thanks papercu for the insight. Both tanks will get some bug juice. The truck's story is: Only owner after mil service was county police impound yard. I can't imagine...

    M819/M246 Ops Questions

RE: Re: M819/M246 Ops Questions Wow thanks BFR for those pics. They illustrate exactly what I was asking. Very cool. Bjorn, I too was leaning towards a quality hydraulic oil with cold weather abilities. Thanks for the confirmation.

    M819/M246 Ops Questions

Hello, I wanted to run a few wrecker/NHC250 specific questions by you guys. I have searched this site extensively, downloaded and absorbed the TMs and Ops manuals but still have a few questions: 1.) To prime the fuel system, the Ops says to use the hand priming pump on the dash. Can the...

    Trans stuck in 2nd

I recently acquired the same problem with the 2-3 synchro and will be doing a full rebuild soon on my 3053A. I looked under my cover and all my teeth seem fine, no rounded edges or chips. My shifter rods had no corrosion and were not sticking. Look under my recent post "stuck in 2nd gear."...

    most important military aircraft ?

Its difficult to make an unbiased decision without influence from your country of origin butting in. It also depends on how you define "Important." I think that if the battle of Britain were lost, our involvement being inevitable along with Russia, it would have delayed ending the war but the...

5 TON ... best use found

Too cool  Do you take it to any local waterways and play around with it? Is it sea worthy and operational? I could use one of those to invade some yacht club dinners...hee, hee, hee  ....how much for da weemin...da weemin...we want da little girl... Some of our ferries are...

    question about dropping oil pressure

I wouldn't start to panic . Pressure drop due to temperature increase is normal. As long as its over 10-15psi at idle (1,000RPM) and over 35-40psi driving around, your fine. Cold oil does not flow quickly and will oilways read higher on the gauge.

    Rod bearings, failure mode

Just delaying the inevitable. If you can't use the truck to its full potential because of low oil pressure and you can't get the sound of the knocking out of your kopf, I would tear the whole thing apart and rebuild everything not just for piece of mind but to restore the trucks usefulness...

Winch help and grille-guard pics needed

The center bar is hinged with a quick remove pin. These trucks are built mostly for the pine barrens but will take down bigger stuff too and work well.

    M656/XM757 8x8 solutions

A 45K rear winch and a nice Mil LowBoy would be icing on the cake, though not original. Is the Pershing missile trailer a specific design? Or was it modified from an existing tank hauling trailer etc? How do the Soviet's counterparts compare to the 656/757?

    M656/XM757 8x8 solutions

Question about floatation abilities... I understand that the cab is watertight using low psi air in the door weatherstripping. Would the front end actually float? Also, was the cargo version's cargo bed designed to be watertight and act as floatation? Would the cargo version completely...
