nothing a can of spray paint cant fix. believe me it could have been much worse. some goofball painted my entire truck that color. dont have a good reason someone would do that to yours, just wanted to i guess.
ill give you 2000 for both, but only because i like you. I dont give deals like that to everybody:wink:
great finds, glad you didnt get outbid. thats a great price for two very nice trucks
mean looking truck isnt it....... I still havent decided if i want to keep the brush guard or not. It just has that Mad Max thing going for it.
The other is my son who got my love of old iron and his mothers driving ability.
after pics
The after pics. The tailgate is off to get the weird angles. The doorjams and hood were just sprayed. The color is lighter than whats correct but not too awful bad and it does look better anyway.
Next comes tires, a roll-on bedliner inside and in the bed, and most likely a sawz-all...
Well It was finally warm enough for paint
We have finally had a day or two of above 65 degree weather so i can do some painting. Normally I wait on paint until almost the end on a project like this but that color was hurting my soul and just had to go.
I used 15 dollar a gallon hardware store...
im sorry i dont have any experience with a Saracen but allot with Saxons and Mambas. Good vehicles all around but parts are a bear to get and being british they arent known for reliable operation. We repowered our Saxon with a 5.9 Cummins with Allison Automatic. Much better all around. I would...
wow he did a really great job be sure to post picks when he gets the stars and lettering up. Ive never seen one so clean..... even new from the motor pool...:-D
I like the idea of putting it under the hood better. Im still going to put a compartment under the passanger seat but it will be most likely just storage and tools now. Thanks allot Wolf
according to the website the OHV area is closed due to damage from the recent ice storm until further notice. guess it may not be cleaned up till spring.
The way you use it is in the place of a jaws of life. We had trouble extracting men and equipment quickly from damaged vehicles after a blast so someone came up with the "Rat Claw" as its called above. You take the pointy sharp end and wedge it in a doorframe or through a piece of broken armored...
yeah its a design that wasnt invesnted by the 10th Mountain. It was one of those things a bunch of security contractors cooked up in Iraq because they never have the equipment the military does to do a combat extraction. I cannot remember when they came up with it. I think it was early 2005 in...
209,000 dollars for that!!!!! Are they insane. Ive built just as capable vehicles in my garage. It looks like a cobbled together bunch of off-the-shelf M-151 parts and a few new body panels. Wonder why somebody didnt just pull the plans off the shelf for a Mighty Mite and go with that?
I agree it would be a shame to devalue it with a repower but if your like me and like actually driving this stuff and not constantly working on it and trying to find hard-to-come-by parts that may not even exist i would do a repower. Buy a old dodge truck with a 6BT engine and transmission and...
nice recovery, you werent kidding about that wheel cylinder. Easy fix though, cheap part like most on a M35. What engine goes it have and what plans do you have for it?
