I know you can put a Hecules 4DT 85Hp engine from a Generator in a M715 or M37 without too many problems. Can you do the same with the Hercules 6 Cylinder model from the 30 KW generator? Has anyone ever looked at doing this. Do you think you could find a bellhousing adapter to work even if the...
well it worked....kinda. too much work involved for what we were trying to get done. ended up making a deal and getting a conversion wheel center machined for 20.00 a piece so i can mount some gamma goat tires on it instead. much easier. the wheel center were so cheap i might see if i can mount...
you can put different tires on the same stock m35 rims. it really isnt prefered but you can do it. look around in the deuce modification thread and youll find info ad nauseum. You can also just get a m715 or CUCV. a m35 is great but the military is full of different types of vehicles. Personally...
i agree with the above postings. I believe the thing that distinguishes this group from others in the hobby is the fact that our vehicles arent "trailer queens" for the most part. We pick up mulch, load furniture, drive for no particular reason, ect. I can appreciate the historically accurate...
come to think of it she has had a much better opinion of the trucks since we had the big ice storm and we were the only ones able to get around. Hadnt thought of it till just then
I dont think any military vehicle is particularly suited for being a daily driver. That being said the CUCV is probably the best suited for it. If your a bit gunshy about owning a MV dont be. Its just a truck only green.
i usually dont mask off anything other than glass, tires, lights, and gauges. Im kind of an odd bird when it comes to painting though. I dont really care if things are "correct" or not just if i like it or not. When i painted my Gama Goat and M715 I used multiple color Camo paint from the...
i dont think so. the Canadian Wheels are the typical M35 lug pattern where these are 10 bolt ( i think) % ton Wheels. The pic is from the conversion website which was very nicely done.
I was on Egay and saw a listing for a truck a guy had bobbed but it appears he took a 5 ton rim and reversed it and welded in a m35 stock wheel center on the backside. Has anyone done this on list and if its doable does anyone have a step by step on it?
I dont know the guy and he may be a...
i was wondering the same thing myself. does it have to have the compressor running constantly to keep it inflated? Ive seen them on GL from time to time and was wondering
will be there with my 6 yr old daughter, dont have a clue what ill be bringing. Whatever I have running reliably i guess. Probably the Unimog 404 or Pinzgauer. Will probably be bringing another collector with me from off-list. really looking forward to it.
yes they fit fine without any problems. The stock rim also will handle a tubeless tire just have the tire shop install a air valve. You can also run a 11.00 x 20 michelins but will need to remove your rear fenders.
