Don't know, just asking. What does the M35A3 use? I thought I read they had a dual circuit.
As far as the hydraulic boost, I've seen something on the site about someone putting a hydraulic pump on the front of the motor to run power steering, the same pump could power a brake booster...
Yes, please. The reply was to them coming with the wheel cylinders. Sorry if I made it unclear, just trying to thank you. No hurry This project has been in progress for 2-1/2 yrs.
I think I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, just hope its for the truck...
I got new ones from I think TNJ, but were minus these pieces. Will was gracious enough to find one on old backing plate he had. Thanks for the input eveyone.

I'm working on the Deuce brakes and came accross a part I haven't been able to find yet. I don't know what the proper name is, but its the piece that the wheel cylinder pushes to expand the brake shoes. Anybody know of a source?
Welcome aboard and after that picture info, we all love to see the pictures. The people on
the site are military and non-military, but all love the vehicles and the stories to be told by
the soldiers that were involved with them. I'm not former military...
I just want to say from what I've experienced, it is a great program. I always try to buy the gifts for the little ones where I can spend what I have and hopefully be able to buy more. I'm sure every local is different and needs help in different ways. If you missed the link to the program...
Thanks, DD for bringing up this post. I'm sure a lot of these engines will do better in private hands, but the other consideration for us is: how often has been operated and how long have they sat without being run? I have a feeling mine sat for a long time before I got it and with my luck as...
The third filter (primary) is located near the or on the frame rail on the right front. Also check for water in the tank and all filter canisters, I let mine sit for a year and had a lot of moisture in all(1/3 tank of fuel)
Andy,
Thats a sweet looking truck. This is the best place to ask questions and
get good answers. I would avoid educating the players by not sharing info about a vehicle you are interested in. There is always someone out there that might have missed it and found it because you posted something...
Never had a CUCV but I had an older chevy pickup that I was always replacing the drivehaft support bearing on when I tore the rubber out of and made simalar noises. You might also
want to check motor or transmission mounts, they will allow the whole drive train to move and cause interference...
Gary,
I take it you were there and have memories most would like to forget.
I appreciate your service and I think my intrest in MV's is due to the
everyday media coverage during that time when I was still a youngster
and seeing the convoys of MV's from FT Polk everytime we went to see my...
Great to see we are getting involved in the program. With a lot of our soldiers deployed and the economy not as good as it has been in recent years, the program needs as many new participents as it can find. When my son first joined the Young Marines, we had a really great guy that was in charge...
Thanks, that was the kinda thing I was thinking about but rather ask than cause more problems. My Front already had the newer retainers and I bought the complete kit for the front from ODIron and only need two more for the last axle.
