I'm trying to change all of the seals on the front axle of my Deuce. I have it apart, but still looking for the right TM, before I go back together with it. Whats the correct TM for this? I've looked through the -34 manual where I thouht I would find it and couldn't.
Any help would be...
Nice looking truck. Mine was frozen the othe way. I drove it off the GSA lot and smelled something funny. I spent an afternonn taking the parking brake assy apart and making it work smoothly. The brake shoes were frozen at the pivot points...

Glad this popped back up. I've seen this thread before and thats the reason I I'm taking each wheel off and checking before I put mine on the road. Both of my front knuckle boots were shot and I ordered all the seal kit from OD Iron for the font axle. I had already purchased anew M?C and rebuilt...
Re: RE: Re: RE: head lights
I think Mcinfantry had the Hellas on his when I saw it a couple of years ago. He might be able to give a source on the bulbs

It probably depends on you and your budget. We had an early nineties Jeep that had A/C and radio and after the wife used it for a daily driver for a year, the novelty wore off. As far as the maintenance costs, it will depend on what kind of shape its in when you start driving it. I've had mine...
If you can find a private owner in cash cruch, that would be the best bet. Unless an Auction vehicle is close enough to inspect and drive home the transpotation costs could kill you. It all kind of depends on your use and future plans. I bought my P.O.S. from GSA and knew I had along road ahed...
I know its here somewhere, but I haven't found it in an hour and gave up. Got a new horn button kit from Rapco with no instructions and I have no memory of how it went
together/came apart two years ago. Anybody know how these pieces go together...
Thanks for bumping up! I plan on doing it in the next month. Trying to read the legal stuff thats in the laws is tough. I've heard you can openly carry in LA, but when trying to read through the legal stuff I think I remember seeing something about not beeing able to openly carry one if you have...
Picked up my radiator today. The guy called me to see if I wanted painted and I told him Will said no. Ithink I rember reading it should be black, Is this correct or should I just paint it the same color as the truck? If black, gloss or flat...
I think the answer would depend on the truck. If you could tell it had recent rebuild and everything visable looked OK, I might assume it was good to go.On the other hand if it is a vehicle that has been out of service for awhile(like mine), I would tr to do alittle more probing to see what it...
Thanks Will,
I not familiar with ultrasonic cleaning. Louisiana is the last place to get new technology.
The shop has been in business for a while and I hope they are reputable. I've horror stories of people having thier radiators repainted and not cleaned and charged for
rodding and...
I just dropped off my radiator yesterday and was quoted $125 to rod it. I will check my fan before I put it in.
The guy at the shop said he can't get the top and bottom tanks anymore. I hope he is not setiing me up for some scheme...
I think we can all be creative and find more sources for free fuel. I'm still not on the road yet, but already thinking about other sources. I had friend drop off about six gallons of old gas the other day out of his old chevy truck that had been sitting a couple of years. We have to look at...
