Don't quote me but I've seen the lower headlights mostly on earlier non winch trucks. I've seen the high lights on both W/W and W/OW trucks that are newer.

I don't live in the north where salt is used, but I know its bad stuff. I don't think there would be any way to totally seal your vehicle from it. even with a good washing there are so many places for it to do damage that could be missed.

I've heard you can get it blended in just about any color. The person that told me said he bought the spray equipment and liner from Carquest. I plan on doing my bed at some point and heat wise anything would be better than the standard black
