Not bad. 57 mph plus avg over the length of the trip. That will get you iron butt status from most folks. The best I have done was 62 something, when I drove to Huntington WVa, to chase a steam engine.

So that should mean that driving my M814 on the interstate, I can bypass the weigh scales. I have been, but always wanted to "know" for sure. The transport police don't work the same hours that I work- The scales are always closed when I go by.

Unless you can get the 250 to turn more rpms, the only way to go faster is bigger tires, or transmission/transfer case change. A stock M816 can do 50mph on the flat all day long. Is it worth it to spend the money to run 55? Other then changing the tire from bias to radial, I would just leave...

With the proper hitch and tires, should do just fine.
