yeah i have the bows and tarps along with the stock tailgate. It was too tall to ship so i was the one who had them cut the front bow. I was plannig on doing the same as you with a removable unit. I think the back plastic is just really dirty same as the side windows were before i cleaned them...

My unimog was delivered tonight. 12,000 km. perfect rubber, everything works, nothing leaks, NO RUST!!!!!!!!!. Im still in shock..... :shock:

thanks for the help, ive already contracted with a guy to ship it in an enclosed trailer up to the house. I wasnt really looking forward to it anyway. I used Uship.com and everything seems to be on the up and up but you really have to watch the feedbacks from the shippers.
man its going to be awful close im trying to tow the thing home on a 6 ft wide car dolly and im not sure i have the clearance...... i dont want to drive for 8 hours to have to just come home.
does anyone know the tire width on a 404 running stock milspec tires? i need the measurement in inches from the outside of the tires on the front axle. Not the width of the tire but the width from tire to tire measured from the outside of the front tire to the outside og the opposing tire.

What i cant understand is that if this one acre site can produce up to 20,000 gallons of high grade vegetable oil why cant i have a backyard unit that I build that will provide oil for myself ( while being less efficent im sure) that will provide for say 2,000 gallons a year. Considering a base...
Well I just worked out my starter issue, now for some reason the brakes have lost all brake pressure and some of the fluid has leaked in the three some odd months since ive used it (been overseas not my fault)
