RE: Old Gasoline - will it work I've used quite a bit of "stale" gasoline, & leftover 2-cycle mix in with diesel. I don't notice any difference in the way it runs. When in doubt I pour it through a filter/water-separator funnel into tank. Eric CBVET

Well, I finally got all the parts to put the winch on my M35A2. But now I want a winch on the "new" M813A1. I can't afford another winch right now, so I'm wondering about putting the Deuce winch on the 5 ton. Anyone done it? I wonder if the only difference might be the length of the driveshaft...

Ignition has to be on to crank engine, as the start is built into it. Battery switch was on. I'm sure I can check the electrical components, just wondering about the pump. Standard size neoprene O rings? Eric CBVET

Tried to start "new" M813A1 at 30 degrees. Followed instructions on dash. Turned on glow plug & attempted to pump fuel with the hand pump. Pump goes in about half way, then stops solid. Gauge is stuck, so I don't know if there is any pressure build up. Cranking good, but no start. Had to use a...
