    MWO question

Aww, c'mon guys. Surely someone can decipher this for me! Eric CBVET

Thanks for the info, guys! Eric CBVET

    Another M813 question

Looked at the TM. It says 50 front & 30 rear! The sidewalls bulge a bit at that pressure, but maybe that's typical? Eric CBVET

    MWO question

The M813A1 has a rebuild tag on the left rear of the engine. Says it was overhauled at Ft Polk La, but no date shown. Also has "MWO Applied, repaired, 2312, IM or 1M" Anyone know what this means? Eric CBVET

    Another M813 question

Tire pressure on the data plate says 80 front, 50 rear. I suspect that is for the 1100 x 20 tires. This truck has the 1400 singles on it. One guy I've talked to says he thought they only ran 40 - 50 - lbs in the 1400s. I guess I'll have to try to find a TM with the info. Eric CBVET

    Another M813 question

Kinda like Playboy online, huh? Seriously, I never would have expected to find a truck like this for the price I paid. I can no longer say "How come I never get in on a deal like that?" Eric CBVET

    Another M813 question

Okay, I brought the M813A1 home. Wow! What a difference from the Deuce. I LOVE the power steering. With the 1400 tires, it really sits high. Ran just fine, about 60 miles. Seems to want to run 60 mph. Question: Air pressure in the 1400 x 20 tires. Tires say 100 psi max. What would you run for...

    M813 question

I'm sitting here anxiously awaiting my buddy's arrival, so we can go pick up the M813A1. Not really knowing what I bought yesterday, I have a question. Does this truck have an air shift transfer case, or is it a Sprag? Eric CBVET

    I'm alright. Really!

My house needs a new roof. My pickup truck needs a new door. I have plenty of work to do on the 2 Deuces. Haven't even sorted out the Mighty Mite "kit" yet. So............................ I bought a 5 ton. Surely many of you will agree I did the right thing. Because many of you have the same...

    Mighty Mite Technical Manual

I have Mighty Mite manuals. They aren't for sale, but I can look up something for you if that would help. Eric CBVET

    Another Temp Question

In 70 degree weather, running lightly loaded, 50 MPH, & arctic cover open, I get up to 180 after about 20 miles. And it sure runs better then. Eric CBVET

    Lowes paint match

Congratulations Spicergear! You noticed that I said Lowes, but the card is obviously from Home Depot. Okay, it's like this. I went to Lowes first, but their color-matching computer wasn't working. So I went to Home Depot next. The paint actually came from them. I was in a hurry to get the...

Max towing capacity of a M35?

RE: This was 17,000 Towed a 1942 Cletrac tractor on a lowboy trailer with a dolly converter. Probably a little over 20,000 lbs. Thought there must be something seriously wrong with my M35A2! Nope. Just too heavy a load. Going down the paved road was hard enough on the truck, but when I pulled...

    Injector pump value?

What do you suppose a "government rebuilt" deuce injector pump is worth? Eric CBVET

    Plastic tarp repair

RE: repair I've used a SpeedyStitcher for many years on leather & heavy fabric. They are tough. The vinyl swimming pool repair kit, with the glue & patch material, from Ace Hardware worked great on my cargo cover. The peel & stick patch they sell wasn't that good. Eric CBVET

    M135/211 trans?

You guys were a really big help with leads on trucks for a buddy. Thanks. Now he's also looking at an M135, & he's asking questions I can't answer. What do you guys think of the automatic trans? Is it dependable? Are parts available? What's it like to repair? Would you buy a truck that had...

    M54 engine?

Looking into a 1958 M54 with gas engine. Who can tell me something about the engine in this truck? I assume it's bigger than the one in the gas deuce, but I know nothing about it. Thanks, Eric CBVET

    Cargo Cover Options

My green vinyl top is GI. Don't know where it came from. It's a lot heavier material than the newer tan vinyl 5 ton cover I recently got. I suspect it's pretty durable. Eric CBVET

    Cargo Cover Options

We have the canvas cover from Memphis Equipment on the '52 M35 & it really looks good. The '70 M35A2 has the green vinyl cover. I don't think the vinyl looks as good, but feel it's much more durable. Also simple to repair with a swimming pool repair kit. Eric CBVET
