    Slave cable ends

Those look like a good deal, but as I said, I have the 2-pin receptacles. Got any of those? Eric CBVET

    Slave cable ends

I'm rigging some electrical items that use 24 volts. An inverter for AC power & some area lights. I'd like to pick up a couple of 2-pin slave cable ends, to attach to these accessories. Any idea who might have these ends? Eric CBVET

    Deuce Fuel Mileage

When I started this thread I didn't think to mention that my truck was "wearing" it's cargo cover, & I was pulling the M103A3 trailer with about 1,000 pounds in it. I don't know how much these things would affect mileage. Ken, You say the turbo is to increase fuel mileage. Everything else I've...

    Deuce Fuel Mileage

I've seen a lot of posts the last couple of years from people getting much better mileage than I do. Why? My truck starts & runs fine. IP appears sealed like originally done. I've done fuel filters & air filter. What's left that can affect mileage that much? Eric CBVET

    Deuce Fuel Mileage

FYI: My non-turbo deuce averages 5 mpg traveling at 55mph. Adding desplined hubs gave me 6.5 mpg. Desplined hubs & 45 mph gave me 8.7 mpg. I will be traveling slower from now on! Eric CBVET

    hot hubs

RE: Re: hot hubs Just some info: We recently made a 100 mile trip in our 2 Deuces. Ambient temp about 72 degrees. Traveling at 45 mph with few stops. Immediately on arriving, I checked temperatures on all 12 hubs with an infra-red thermometer. They ran from 85 to 101 degrees. Eric CBVET

    New Deuce trans?

I looked at the trans for sale. He says it was new when he got it several years ago. It's been sitting outside partially covered. Input shaft is pretty rusty. The hole where the PTO is open, but that part was covered. What I could see through the hole looked new. I asked if I could take the top...

    Deuce Wanted

Coveralls, We were at that auction. That truck had a sprag which didn't work. I had suggested $2,000 tops. It was bid up to $2300 by the "house" bidder, & that was it. Later, my buddy who is a farmer, went & bought it for $2,850 because he needed a field truck. I guess he got a good buy, I just...

    Deuce Wanted

Philadelphia is 700 miles. I'd really like to find something closer, as I'll have to give up one of my few weekends off to help get it. Appreciate the tip though. Eric CBVET

    Deuce Wanted

Got a buddy looking for a Deuce. Multi or diesel, airshift. Within about 500 miles of Northern (South Bend) Indiana. Must be in pretty good shape & ready to be driven home. Anybody? Eric CBVET

    Pictures from VietNam, 1968.

It's my understanding that all SeaBee equipment that was usable or repairable was shipped from VietNam to Cubi Point, Diego Garcia, or Japan. Eric CBVET

    HMMWV parts

Emmado, I got a chance to stop by briefly on Saturday. He wants $600 for a new LR fender. I have no idea whether that's a good price. I'll check on other guy's requests when I can. Eric CBVET

I'd like to know more about this running plateless with bumper numbers. When I first heard about this I asked at the local DMV & they said "Huh?" Eric CBVET

    Lowes paint match

RE: Lowes paint Just used a brush on the sideboards made of scrap lumber. Will need a second coat. When I do the rest of the trailer, probably this winter, I'll use an airless sprayer. I think it will do a pretty good job & a buddy has one I can borrow. Eric CBVET

    Lowes paint match

Lowes paint Yes, I can still see my feet! But I'm not attaching a picture of them. Pervert! Anyway, here are a scan of the paint sample from Aervoe, with a quarter-sized bit of paint from Lowes on it. Also, here's the mix info. Eric CBVET

    Lowes paint match

If I'm able to get out of bed in the morning, I'll get some pictures. I found out yesterday that my once cat-like reflexes have slowed to old dog reflexes. When God kicked the ladder out from under me (which I probably deserved) I DIDN'T land on my feet. Should I include pictures of my feet...
