    Desplined hubs?

Got a road trip coming up, & a spare pair of front hubs. I plan to have them desplined. How much over the diameter of the axle do you guys suggest? Can they be cut out on a lathe with a regular boring bar, or do they have to be ground out? Any other tips I need before I run these? Thanks again, Eric

    More efficient Deuce..?

RE: Re: seats...? OIFVET You say you can do about anything with time, tools, & patience. You forgot to mention money! That's often first on my list. I love my trucks, & would likely make some changes if I could, but have other priorities. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy reading about many of the...

Help! Bees in my M543A2 Wrecker!

.410 #7 shot works well on bumblebees, so may work on other bees too. We sit in lawn chairs & wait for them to fly out. Kinda like mini skeet. Eric

    Watermark - Decision

Mike, Thanks for the clear explanation of "ownership". Clears things up for me. I am no longer against the watermarks, just wonder if they could be a little more discrete. Eric CBVET

    Pictures from VietNam, 1968.

RE: More pictures. 1968 You know it's kinda funny how your perception changes with time & experience. When I was in the 'Bees we had all these trucks & dozers etc around, but didn't care much about them as long as they got the job done. They were just tools. If someone had asked me in 1968 if I...

Couldn't find a better forum for these pictures, but thought someone might like them. I took these in the DaNang area in 1968. Eric

    Standard 2 ton Jack stands

Get some good 4x4 or 6x6 wood blocks like motorolanut says! I once spent a couple of hours pinned under a '59 Chevy after the cinder (cement) block broke. No fun. Another time I smashed/flattened 4 fingers on my shooting hand when some bricks broke. Really had to practice with my left hand in...

Need some advice-given am M35-but strings attached

If I couldn't get a good bill of sale &/or a title, I'd stash it for 6 months then part it out. Or sell it to a farmer for off-road use.

    Trailer recommendation?

Kenny, I've not looked at GL very much. How do you know there are some coming up at Great Lakes? I didn't see any listed. Eric

    Trailer recommendation?

Would like to get a cargo trailer to pull behind a deuce. I have a 332 ammo trailer, but it's too small. I'm not at all familiar with military trailer models, so I'm up for suggestions. Would kind of prefer one that can be covered. Assistance/opinions appreciated. Eric

    Temp Sender on Gas Deuce

Temp gauge in gas deuce quit. Stuck in a new gauge I had on hand. Made sure it has good ground. Still nada. Any body know how to test a temp sender? You know, like what should the resistance be at a particular water temperature or something? I could just buy a sender I suppose, but I want to...
