Got the bed off of the Deuce and have been using the needle scaler to try and clean uo the rear part of the chassis. I came accross this bracket on the right rear and have no idea what it is for.

The plate on the right side only has the id# and contract# stated above. They both look shorter than any I have seen before. I'll go take a picture before I call it a night.

I think I've read that the fourth hole is for the steering shaft when the cab is mounted on a 5 ton. why both would be knocked out? My deuce has no heater,

I usaully use laquer thinner for cleang carbs and it works well. Anything it doesn't destroy should be really clean. I don't know where all of the parts are that would be affected, but I would try to get it out as soon as possible a run straight diesel fuel...
