My key was glued into the cylinder. I replaced it with a regular KLR key and cylinder. You need only the ignition key/cylinder. Not the whole kit, ignition, gas cap and helmet lock cylinder.
I bought my M1030M1 from a dealer that have no idea what they was doing. In the process of getting it running they put a jumper wire from solid 12v to the fuel shut off solenoid. The power feed to that solenoid drops to 4-6 volts after about 5 seconds . I went though 2 solenoids before finding...
I just purchased a m1030 m1 2000. From a local dealer. He has 2 more. It fried the fuel shut off solinoid. Does anyone know where I can get one ?
