    Marine Corps Markings

Well, we're moving along on painting the 1952 Stude M35, Marine Corps Green. Can anybody advise on correct VietNam era markings on this truck? Any specs or pictures would really be appreciated. Thanks, Eric CBVET

    Focus People!!! Focus!

Mike, I have been guilty of getting "off-topic" by throwing in a joke or funny comment now & then, in the midst of another thread. I'll try to refrain. But I have to tell you, I do enjoy reading the "off-topic" items too. I sometimes agree, sometimes don't, but it makes me think. Regards, Eric...

    Replace IP or bypass FDC?

I really like having the FDC working. I burn all kinds of fuels, including gasoline mixed with filtered waste oil, gasoline/diesel mix, leftover chainsaw fuel, outboard motor fuel, or straight diesel. I believe I'd fix it. But then again, I have no idea how tough a job it would be. Eric CBVET

    PTO Lever Bracket

Weather MAY be getting better soon, so I want to get my winch installed. I think all I'm missing is the PTO lever bracket that attaches to the master cylinder. Anybody got one to spare? Eric CBVET

    Towbar clevises/adaptors

Thanks littlebob, That's the Austin Aviation site. He's got one set that MIGHT work, but they don't look like the ones in the TM, & he wants $100. Can anyone tell me: Are the ones shown in the TM, with 2 sets of holes, 3/4 inch & 1 inch, the only ones I can use? Eric CBVET

    Towbar clevises/adaptors

Thanks guys, I checked out the TM & see how all this is used. So, I still need the adapters. Saturn's web site says they're out. Austin Aviation doesn't have the right type. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Eric CBVET

    Towbar clevises/adaptors

Frank, Never having had or used a towbar, is there an advantage in using adaptors that hook to the axle? Seems like they would be a pain to put on, but I don't know. Eric CBVET

    Towbar clevises/adaptors

I know this has come up many times, but now it's my turn. I finally got a towbar, but the clevises/adaptors that attach in place of the lifting shackles are missing. Does anyone know of a source? I seem to recall someone had found some that could be modified to fit properly. That would be fine...

    gillespie paint

I recently called Aervoe asking what to use to thin for spraying. They say you can use Naptha (which is the same as mineral spirits I think), Acetone, or Xylene. They say: Naptha is fine if temps above 70, &/or slower drying is okay. Acetone works better if its 60-70, &/or quicker drying is...

    Seabee markings

Just a note. The border around the Bee, is actually rope in regular prints. The stencil Keith shows is correct. The ones Rick Larsen sells are very nice, but the shape of the border segments is not the same. Eric CBVET
