OK now I'm really confused. My undesstanding is that the REB kit removes the sprags and replaces a gear (gears) to make the gear ratio the same front and back.
I am looking for the M35 transfer kit. My deuce has the sprag transfer and I may be able to get a case with the reb kit. There may be a problem wit the transfer box so I was looking for the paperwork to learn a little more about it first. I have talked with Memphis Equipment and they have only...
Does anyone have a set of instructions or a manual (anything) for the REB kit that they could share? Photos of the parts, parts breakdown. I would be happy to pay for copies and mailing.
I'm using a combination of 5x5's and 6 ton jack stands. The jack stands are down all the way ( which helps ). I also place two heavy steel horses as a backup under the frame also. I picked up the hardwood cribbing from a place that makes pallets. All the timbers in the photo plus a few more cost...
I'm in the same boat as you are. I have a good one for work where I need a little more information. The Harbor Freight ones are great and when they get tired, toss them. They are not the same but the cheap one will work for a lot of projects.
RE: Another way...
Does anyone have a spare passenger side top rail? This is the part that goes from the top of the windshield to the bow, the door glass seals on it and the soft top attaches to it.
RE: Re: RE: Exhaust Flow
Can't find fault with your math, I must admit I didn't think 2 stroke - 4 stroke. I still think the 300 -400 cfm range may be low, just a gut feeling. During my few moments with the engineer (couldn't find a listing for a Ldt 465) I asked if he could find the specs. for...
I will most likely use that muffler, but if one of the many very well read experts in SS has the information we could end up with a better breathing and quieter design. I have already measured the cab noise. Stock is 93db@55mph on blacktop. Let's see what we can do.
Your right, muffler "system". I have talked with an engineer that knows engines and mufflers and is willing to make some educated suggestions, but he needs the cfm first. So I thought OK, 465cu in/ revolution x 2600rpm convert that to cu ft and I'm there at 100%. 700cfm Well I forgot the boost...
Here's a question for the engineers out there. Does anyone know what the exhaust flow for the LDT 465 1 D is? It would be a CFM rating. The flow through the air filter should be the same, I think.
I new I had seen the % of slip somewhere, thank you. Two more questions. If you loose your middle drive shaft, to the rears, will the transfer engage the front and be drivable? Does anyone have a set of drive flanges/hubs that I could despline?
How much difference in tire height between the front and rear tires can my sprag deuce handle? At what point will the transfer engage? What if you had new tires on one axle and used on the other, let's say 1/2" difference?
That is a great offer! To make one or two is a real labor of love. I think some where I saw a manual for shop built and modified tools for the deuce. A TM? Can anyone help?
I think I was told that the 5 ton was smaller and would fit. The problem is with the smaller wheel you need power steering or lots of personal power steering (big arms).
Interesting! In your XM818 are the data plates "normal"? I would like to see a photo of your data plates and any one else who has a "X" model. I am really interested in the XM381 4x4 two ton.
I wonder if you went to a spring shop if they could give an educated guess. What is the thickness of the deuce spring pack? I think the front deuce springs has 12 leaves that are 2.75" wide. I will ask my spring shop once I get the thickness (all 12 together or each leaf) and the center to...
I was able to get the measurements, thanks guys! FYI: 6.62" high, 4" between bearings, 8-1/2"-20 bolts on 5.562" bolt circle. The factory hub # A333E785, rear axle # C240FHX3, bearing #12282182 (modified 3920)
