I should have added above that I did ask JJ if it was OK to post his info and he was good with it. Just treading lightly as I'm a newb here and want to be respectful and appreciative.
Just to finish up, the basic sliders are $500 for a set and are made from 3/16" steel. They come naked steel and do include hardware. It is Jeremy Johnson and their website https://safety3rdcustoms.com/shop is being rewritten due to a faulty shipping calculator. If you are purchasing, call or...
FlameRed sent it to me already, but FWIW, I googled the phone number and found this website, which has the rails and other HMMWV fab'd goodies:

Phone number in the contact info matches. Going to call them today.
Thank you all. This website is incredible...
I am going to run it gingerly this weekend. There's so much flow in the reservoir, I can't tell anymore. Like a squirting hose in there. That's new too. I've warmed it up and cooled it off a couple times and fluid level has gone down a little, just not back to normal. Seems like I have to...
I've pretty much gotten past the denial stage, wishing it might be some easy cheap fix and not a head gasket. There's just nothing else that would produce these symptoms that I know of. Now it's yarding out the mill and replacing. You (Mogman) referred to the GEP motor in post #13. This has...
Thank you eaw46! I'll follow up today. Called quite a few Diesel shops and they don't want to work on the 6.2/6.5s any longer. They say quality parts are getting hard to come by and it makes it hard to back their warranty.
whole story: short trip, after which coolant reservoir is now showing completely full. I let it cool completely. opened reservoir and started motor, constant stream of bubbles in the coolant res. Capped res. and let heat up. Once hot, intermittently pushing out small amounts of coolant...
Thank you, Tobash. I did think about that also. I was hoping for a guy that was familiar with the HMMWV, but I guess there's nothing magical. I've been told that the motor/trans has to come out to do this right, is that your experience as well? I have a lot to learn.
Pretty sure I've got a blown head gasket in my 2008 M1123 6.5 NA. Not sure I want to tackle an engine teardown right now with the work schedule so hectic. Does anybody know a good HMMWV mechanic near Phoenix AZ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My apologies if I posted in the wrong...
No extras I'm aware of, just needs to be tucked up tight. Might have been from stripping the armor? Please don't mistake my ignorance for disrespect or being argumentative. I have no ego here, just want to learn.
Sorry Action, are you asking specifically what the wires are? Like from the smart start box and windshield washer fluid res? Probably some others, just going from memory. I can check them all if that's your question.
Not sure what you mean. Just the normal wires I suppose, albeit not held up as the should be? It's how I got it, and my buddies is the same. I assume they should be tucked up tighter?
The original rivets, from my buddies are a little less conspicuous then the cherrymax, but I like the strength of the cherrymax, and once painted, not really noticeable. I still need to paint the rivets on the inside.
I used a little contact cement to glue the foam insulation to the panels just for ease. I should have scooted them up a little further to the top, but they still close out the panel. The notch in the insulation is to get around this brace type deal.
