Sorry. I have not been on for a while. Work has had me really busy. I have added a few things. I have the Futon style bed installed, a solar panel (5 Watt), and some carpet. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow.
Okay, so I have made a little progress. The outside is sealed, the top is on, it is painted, paneling is up inside and I am making a frame for the bed. I'll post some pictures tomorrow if it is not raining.
Sorry for the delay in updates. My back has been acting up again so I had to take a...
The spare tire mount was, I believe, a field mod. 11Echo could clear that up. I got the trailer from him.
Thanks I will. I have all of the outside on but still need to caulk and paint it. The back door should be on tomorrow and I'll post more pics as more is completed.
I will be making a...
The windows should be okay. They are free floating in the frame and I gave them wiggle room so they won't break.
That M101A2 looks nice. Not quite tall enough for me though. My wife and I are a little large for the M101A2 LOL.
Here is the trailer framed in with some of the siding on and all of the windows in.
I will be reusing the tarp and bows for the roof. My plan is to roll back the tarp on those warm nights of camping.
I will be adding 2 deep cycle glass mat batteries for power with a solar charging pack...
Okay so here is what I have done so far. I have removed the vinyl tarp and bows. They will be used later. I have used the raised basement flooring for the floor. The rest is pretty easy to tell. 2x4's and 2x2's for framing. 3 windows from a local HW store. 1-1/2" insulation. Electrical...
Thanks for the chart Doghead. I get about 12-14 not exceeding 2000 RPM. On the smoke, I have none, even on hard acceleration. Is that normal?
That is running 45 gal of diesel and 5 +/- of WMO. I will say the more oil I run the happier she is.
Reviving an old thread. I was contacted by a few other members about doing a get together. Any suggestions. This can be just a simple get together for coffee and donuts. Just have to make sure that the parking lot is a little bit bigger than normal.
I'm up for anything, just so that I can...
Just want to say thanks for taking care of the problem. It happens to everyone at one time or another. (Bad things that is).
I'm sure that everyone is appreciative of your efforts. It is not an easy thing to keep D|(|{ heads out when they want in so very badly.
I'm going to have to agree with Steelandcanvas. Sounds to me like a voltage regulator is getting ready to go. I would follow the instructions on adjustments to it. The only thing that I would say to do is turn the screw once each way with the engine off. Then start the engine and adjust it...
As they rolled off of the assembly line they were Canvas. But almost all of the trucks were upgraded to the vinyl at some point in their career.
Canvas has the look and smell of the old military. But IMHO is a lot harder to take care of and is a lot heavier. Canvas requires the mil-coat...
With that much torque I would suggest an electrohydraulic steering system. It would remove the need for both boxes and the need for the full steering shaft. I think that there are systems like this on some of the very large off road lumber vehicles. It utilizes an electric hydraulic pump and...
