Ok/ thought I would chime in here
I have a 1970 M35A2 with a rear wheel seal leaking inside the drum . took wheels, axle and hub off seal looks good .
The only thing I see is the seal OD is roughly 3 3\8 across and the hub flange where I would think the outer seal should ceet into is 3...

finally figured it out
was frozen at the dowel pins
jacked the tranny up a little higher than
normal, took two thin screwdrivers. tapped them
up from the bottom
between the motor and tranny
popped right loose.didn't break...
Just bought a 86 .
Had a starting issue
upon further inpsection
I discovered that the starter
chewed a couple of teeth off the flywheel.
unbolted everything to slide tranny back
but, can't get tranny to seperate from motor.
is currently soaking with penetrating oil.
Dont want to bust...
