Awesome build. I like the use of the three inch tubing to mount the bed at desired height. And I am very interested to hear how the air suspension affects the ride and drive.
Thanks for posting up all of the progress pics
Thanks to all. This is great information for those of us planning to do this mod.
I really like the layout templates. I think I am going to print them out and adjust the print size percentage till it matches the frame size/bolt hole configuration properly and go from there.
Does anyone...
Cool. thanks for the info.
I believe the 54043 is also from a ford LN series truck. Not sure what the differences are. I've been looking all over for some sort of reference that lists the part# and design of each.
Looking forward to more pics as the install progresses.
Awesome work! [thumbzup]
Thank you for posting up pics of the power steering box install. This info helps get me motivated to start my P.S. project.
Do you know what part# steering box you installed? I've got a line on a ross 54043 steering box that I think I will be using, but it looks...

Been Busy since getting back from Rausch Creek. Had a great time and really enjoyed meeting all who attended. Thank You to Rob and Dave for taking the lead in organizng this Event. Here are some of my pics from Friday.
Put me on the list when you start one. I think they will be very useful. They look pretty **** cool too. I really like the tapered sides to help get the wheel onto the studs. Thanks.
Made it home without any problems. Thanks for great company and great wheeling. It was good to meet everybody. I'll post up some pics later when I get a chance.

New Hub Steps look awesome! I think they would be perfect on the back of truck with super singles. I am constantly climbing over the the side of my bed using the hub and tire as a step.
Keep us posted on the price and availability.
Just to Add a little insight, I have a m35a3 seat mounted on the drivers side of my A2 deuce, and I swapped the stock springer over to the passenger side.
I just went out wheeling the other night with a friend and we took turns driving and riding shotgun.
We both felt that the stock a2...

New Rear main seal and winch driveshaft.
Took the truck out for a test run last night to check out the clutch and the winch. Everything felt good. Winch...
I love the look of the new wheels and tires.
Can you tell any difference between the XMLs and the XZLs?
I currently have XMLs on hemmt rims. they have a fair amount of dry cracking and I am considering trying to find some XZLs to replace them if they get worse.
I like the looks of the XZLs...
This is a bit of a hijack of this thread but along the same lines...
I recently swapped out a sprag t-case and installed a used air shift unit.
Everything went pretty smoothly, but now I can hear a very noticeable gear whine on accel and decel. I'm pretty sure its coming from the used airshift...
