Thank you, that is very helpful. I've been looking for an airshift t-case with no luck. Would you happen to have all the parts available to do this swap? Thank you again for the help! It is greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys! I'm either swapping in an air shift t-case or take another sprag case I have and a friend of mine with a machine shop is willing to try and cut some gears. He builds all sorts of gears for the mining industry.
Ok, so the issue wasn't bad batteries, it has a 12 volt alternator installed on it as well. The guy at the lot wanted me to be aware of this conversion before taking it. Sort of a stand alone 12 volt system. They do this to run 12 volt lights and so if the lights are left on and run down the 12...
I have been reading this morning about jumpstarting procedures( I do not have a slave cable...YET!). I bought another M35A2 and I'm going to pick it up today. I need to jump start it off of my M1009. How do I hook the regular jumper cables up. Guy at lot said it pull starts easily but I would...
Napa sells actual fusible link wire. I had the same issue with my 09 and this worked well. Give me a few minutes and I'll run out and get a part number for you.
Well, had to leave this one alone. Had lots of cooter and jethro wiring throughout truck. After a better inspection of the e brake cable, it has no coating on it just steel cable and to get it to pull on the lever at the driveline, someone has bolted eyelets under the floor that the cable rides...
Thanks Glen, it is in very good shape mechanically and physically is very nice as well. As far as a trip up here, come on up. We can all get together and shoot the bull. Maccus is one heck of a guy, above and beyond the normal. Thanks for the lead!
Well, the inevitable has happened, another piece of green iron came home. I finally got a deuce and a half (thanks Maccus!) My wife, after riding in it, loves it so it looks like the coast is clear to bring a 5 ton home next. I sold off some older chevy projects that have been here for a while...
Talked to owner last night and he said he added the fork to the t-case shifter because the winch pto lever had one. So, that explains that. The reason why it acted like it was binding up was someone had rigged up a e brake cable and ran it over the t-case shifter. When you pull up on the t case...
Looking for some advice here. I went and looked at a deuce and a half today as i am going to buy one. I drove this one today 465 MF with whistler, I ran through the t case and when its in high, it seems like it's binding up or something. It has a little metal flap where low side is to sort of...
I own the 1009 that the Op had been having trouble with and it was still in the same shape it was in when he last posted. Repairs went as follows:
1. Someone had put in a kill switch with a big plastic key type thing that had a very low amp rating and was fried.
2. Wrong starter relay, I did...
