If possible - suggest copying the WI code. Don't like losing the capability to modify vehicles having a historic designation but a copy makes it easier to representatives to concur with the concept. Paul Underwood and Tom Zat did a great job!
Thank you very much. I couldn't find the nsn for a gas radiator. Reason for my question is I ordered an nsn 2930-00-563-7235 online and the seller sent me a radiator for a gasser. They won't accept an RMA unless I pay $1190.00 for a different part number. I have a feeling they think I made...
Great discussion. I would think "Our" group should include all collectors of any vehicles, old cars, etc. not just MV's. We secured some freedom in Wisconsin with the help of all collectors and drivers of 'uncommon' vehicles. We gathered by email.
Perhaps mvpa could sponsor such an...
From a Wisconsin reader of this interesting thread:
Does anyone have a copy of the contract employed for the manufacture of any of these vehicles?
I could really use one circa 1970. Certainly milstd 1180 requires vehicles to be built according to FMVSS standards but I would like to see the...
I copied this from another post on this sight:
Our bill is now drafted, and and Sen. Grothman's office is looking for legislative co-sponsors. We need your help in urging your legislative representatives (Senator and Assembly Rep.) to co-sponsor this bill.
Please note, this is the first of...
Letters don't seem to work and threats definitely accomplish very little. Catharsis is OK but what about a class action suit against the state and specific unethical individuals abusing the power of their office? Do we have the wherewithal to instigate a class action suit?
Wisconsin has a Historical Vehicle license that is relatively easy to acquire but the regulators let that pass so they could 'regulate' all military vehicles as well as any non-conforming vehicle, (kit car), off the roads. If your only desire is to drive your vehicle as a 'float' in a local...
Hi! I'm a newbe!
Unfortunately, most times I think of something new and interesting - I do a search before posting and find out it is old and been covered eleventeen times.
For example:
I started up the truck and blew two blackbirds out the exhaust. I thought that was new - I was...

Also; do you know of any resource where I could get a copy of the contract, RFP, or Requirements pertaining to this vehicles manufacture? Wisconsin is fighting...
Called Mike and found him to be Very helpful. Really addressed all my concerns. I am quite impressed and thankful for U guys who told me to call them up and ask questions.
Oh, and the hauler isn't a commercial transport outfit - more of a favor to me. (lucky me, I found out).
Thanks SS,
mark
Thanks a lot! I did get the phone numbers. The trucker is coming from the Crivitz area and offered to xport the duece for $350. I don't think I could get any better and really want to make this work.
I will call the GL guys for an extension if needed. (still working with the hauler's...
Won an m109a3 in Sparta, got the euc May 11 and have a carrier to transport vehicle to Crivitz, WI. Problem may be that the hauler may not be able to pick up the vehicle until the 23rd of May - or so. I think the ten day limit for xfer off base will be exceeded. Is there an inexpensive way to...
Thanks for the support and advice. I immediately sent a letter to my Assembly Representative.
On a lighter note - I do know of some cows who escaped from California and are hiding udder the witness protection program in Wisconsin. They are now free of 'happy' drugs and are quite content...
I did write the Governor and decided to write a Senator as well-
I cant profess to be a great letter writer but here is what was sent to the Senator:
Dear Senator Holperin,
What are your feelings about citizens being able to use retired military vehicles for business and pleasure...
